4 of us lads had a good meal here. Reasonable menu although portions a little on the small side. A good variety of food on offer and the drink selection was good too. Although I'd like to have seen a wider choice of gin than the 3 Scottish ones on offer.

Pub food can be the same wherever you go - pleasingly it's not when dining at The Caberfeidh. Their Scottish and Spanish chefs are mixing it up with light meals and heavier fare. Really interesting combinations (tapas style) on the lighter side, refreshingly tasty. The portions are great share plates. All the food came quickly and together. We tried the... More

This is a lovely pub with a warm cosy atmosphere (wood fire) - booking essential. The menu is all on a blackboard and is not printed; this consists of "small plates" and "large plates". The small plates are too small if you are hungry and want a complete meal. You would have to order a couple of these, like tapas,... More

We ate here whilst on holiday in late March/early April. The food and atmosphere is great. I had the haddock with mashed tatties, pan-fried baby asparagus, cheese and mustard grain sauce and a poached egg on top. The best food I might have ever had? Definitely in the top 3. Go here, the menu changes all the time, but I'm... More

Went here 3 times in our stay in Lochinver. Arrived 2 mins before the kitchen closed but happy to stay open and feed us on a Sun night. Really friendly and welcoming staff and Chef does great "small" plates and large and the menu was great and surprising as well as really enjoyable food. Great bar and atmosphere and enjoyed... More

We went for lunch and had a selection of small plate dishes including a wild venison burger, cullen skink, cod goujons and a homemade beef burger. Followed by lemon tart with raspberry ice cream and chocolate brownie. Came to about £55 for four people (with drinks) which was very reasonable for the quality. All dishes were homemade, fresh and well... More

My family and I recently spent a very memorable evening at the Caberfeidh. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the barman was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. Definitely worth stopping for a meal here. There are some restrictions in opening hours during the off-season.

We went to the Caberfeidh on one of our two nights in Lochinver and had some decent food and some good drinks in a lively atmosphere. The bar we were in was very small so there was a good atmosphere with a relatively small number of people here. In the summer it must be chock-a-block so best to book in... More

Seafood was spectacular. I was not expecting to find such great food this far into the highlands. Beer selection was great. Bar tenders helpful in explaining local options. Did not make a reservation but able to grab a small table at the bar. Also love seeing all the dogs at the pub drinking with there humans.
