Food here is decent, for options in Algonquin Park it is probably your best bet to get something quick for lunch. Service is ok, could be better but what is expected for Algonquin park.

A cafe in this situation could be an over-priced tourist trap but this one is not. It offers a menu of straightforward dishes at honest prices. The service is fast and friendly, the unpretentious menu accurately describes the dishes on offer. Our salads were generous, the chips were hot, what more could we ask for on a day in the... More

We ate here whilst visiting the park , the food was great , value for money very good , servings were more than ample , it was busy , but if you are prepared to wait it's worth while , the Canadian club sandwich can be recommended , along with the way ce cream , moose tracks !!

If you need a snack after vigorous trail hike, then this is an ok place to get it. The fries were the frozen variety and mostly tasteless. The burger was ok .

This restaurant is consistently very good for food quality and service. Plus it's a great, convenient location in the park. Can't go wrong with stopping for a meal there!

We can never go wrong eating here! We camp on developed and backcountry sites at least 3 times per year and always stop here on our way out. Never had a bad meal or service!

We stopped part way through the park for lunch. bright, sunny with cheerful young staff and satisfying fast food with a pleasant gift shop next door and a small outfitters shop downstairs. A good break in our travels.

Every year when we camp at Algonquin, my kids have to meet their "old friend" which is the Portage Store's apple pie ala mode. The restaurant have good pies & nachos. The coffee's good too. The staff are friendly and the place has a great view of Canoe Lake. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because... More
