We walked from the village of Pilsley to Edensor and back again stopping halfway at the tearooms. It was buzzing but not particularly busy. We ordered two cappuccinos (large) and two slices of Victoria sandwich cake. The two pieces of cake came almost immediately but one slice was easily twice the size of the other - it almost looked like... More

This gorgeous venue is a must for any visitor near to Chatsworth. I found this place, quite by accident, whilst working as a Caregiver last year, my mission being to find the most exquisite tea room in Derbyshire. If you appreciate a warm welcome, friendly and attentive staff, delicious food and refreshments then this place is for you! I have... More

Have called in several times before for coffee and cake but as we are staying nearby this week we tried a lunch. My husband and i shared the gammon and stuffing sandwich served with roast potatoes. Not only did they serve it divided nicely on a board for us we also got 2 plates with no fuss at all. It... More

We were very disappointed to visit Edensor Tea Rooms over the holidays. After a fairly long wait we were first brought the wrong food: 2 of us had ordered a bacon and stilton oatcake and 2 of us a basil, sundried tomato and mozzarella oatcake. What arrived was 2 ham and cheddar, and 2 beef tomato and cheddar. We sent... More

A glorious village in the Chatsworth estate with an attractive tea room, what could be better? Unfotunately it may be complacency and taking it's customers for granted which will be it's downfall. Long waits for food, no idea who ordered it and chaotic organisation do not justify the high prices and modest food and drink we were served.Busy yes, but surely... More

We met our friends Angela and Andrew for lunch at the Edensor Tea Cottage. It was busy, we had coffees which were very nice, an excellent lunch and really nice cakes and tea. I had a baked potato beans and bacon plus salad, Pat had a Derbyshire oatcake and our friends some fish. All good quality food. Very friendly people... More

The family decided to go here for a pre Christmas lunch. We got the table we'd requested, the mulled wine was very warming and the cod & sea bass fish cakes were very tasty to get our lunch off to a great start. For our main, we'd all opted for a traditional turkey Christmas dinner (all that was missing were... More

Booked for 6 of us to have afternoon tea with prosecco after a little trip to the Chatsworth Christmas markets. Wow!!! I had the GF options which were just amazing!!! 4 cakes and a ton of sandwiches!!! The GF cakes were quite honestly the best I had ever tasted, so light and fresh! My friends all had the normal selection... More
