Certainly an upscale dining establishment. The old hotel dining room has been totally redone so that it has a modern, sleek appearance. Service was OK, if not stellar. But the food was first rate--with a nice variety of options, and many dishes featuring vegetables. Worth...More

We made a reservation for this restaurant and were amazed once we were inside. We were not expecting such a nice restaurant even though we eat at several places in Bakersfield. First off we were seated quickly (yes we had a reservation). Next our waitress...More

We chose to be here as a celebration, with a reservation that is recommended any time you choose the Belvedere. We have tried a few times without a reservation and have been turned away. So, we were ready. Except, they were not this time. With...More

Arrived 10 minutes early and were seated promptly. Told we could visit the buffet at 10. We ordered Mimosas and tea while we waited. The buffet had many choices, including the obligatory prime rib, ham, and turkey breast. There was also an omelette station. The...More

The Belvedere used to be pretty boring. Jeramy Brown has turned it around with well-chosen seasonal menu items and much improved service. Great selections and presentations. This now is the place to take visitors who wonder whether Bakersfield has any good food. Try it!

They were slow and many items were out because of a banquet the night before. Aspiration menu, would consider giving them another chance.

Totally satisfied with dining experience because of the great food and wine: Walla Walla Cabernet, filet mignon, pork chop, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, cheese cake and flower less chocolate mouse. What a delight all of those dishes were to savor. Each dish we shared and were...More

We had a Sunday Brunch here. It was a little above average. We were there about thirty minutes after they opened, but a lot of their foods still weren’t out yet. What we did have was good, but I wouldn’t call it exceptional. If we...More

I really enjoyed my flat iron steak salad, it was cooked exactly as I asked, and all the elements were fresh and it was beautifully presented. Cannot complain at all. I ordered hot tea and got gourmet, very very nice herb tea, served with fresh...More

There is no dress code. But it is a nice place so when we go we dress fairly nice. Slacks button down shirt, My wife wears a casual dress or something nice. I have seen people in there with shorts and flip flops, but myself... More
