The only place that consistently does poached eggs correctly, and doesn't mess up breakfast meats. They have a great staff.

I gave this restaurant/coffee shop 5 stars because of the breakfasts that are served. If you like an old-fashioned breakfast such as biscuits and gravy, pancakes, omelettes, or bacon and eggs this is your place. Inexpensive and very good. Staff and owner are great and keep the coffee coming and and willing to work with the customer on orders.

Molly J’S, Bakersfield 8-12-15 We stopped here for breakfast before heading south and home. The omelet was Ok but not fluff. Very few cooks know how to make a fluffy omelet. Service was fair. The place is easy to get to off Hwy-99, about a ¼ mi. west. Cap & Virginia

Having my car serviced while passing through Bakersfield, this restaurant is very convenient to the local group of car dealerships and highly recommended. We had a terrific breakfast, late in the morning and everything was cooked to perfection. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive...what more could you want. Not a gourmet meal, but does what you'd want and expect... More

My food seemed a little under seasoned this time around, (enter mr&mrs salt&pepper shaker) but the portions were satisfying and then some. I ordered the chicken fried steak, country potatoes, 2 eggs & Biscuit&Gravy. Ate here once before, for lunch, and i remember it being cozy but it gets cozier during breakfast as Charlott keeps the coffee brewing and pouring;... More

first time in this restaurant. I noticed this is popular with the locals. We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Sequoia National Park. As soon as entered Molly J's we were promptly greeted and seated. The food was a big portion , and the price was decent. They also have kids portions. The best thing is the excellent... More

I love to find little restaurants which are obviously frequented by the local folks. We stumbled into Molly J's at 6:00am with a strong need for a morning coffee fix. This was the place to go. A group of Bakersfield farmers were already there shooting the bull and kidding with the waitresses. It was a friendly place and our mugs... More

About a mile west of Highway 99 you will find a really good coffee shop with tasty food and excellent service. I have eaten here many times, always at the counter, and I've been impressed by the place. Now, getting to my most recent visit, well, I looked over the fulsome menu and ordered a ham, avocado and bacon sandwich... More

I have been here many time for breakfast and am blown away by the eggs Benedict . It has to be some of the best I have ever had in my life . The portions are big and the prices are great. I am wondering why it got a previous bad review from someone. I don't get it. It's always... More
