My husband and and I had dinner here last week and we both were very impressed with our meals. We split a salad and my main course was the pasta with clams. The pasta was homemade and cooked perfectly. There were a lot of small...clams in a butter type sauce that were so tasty. I would order it again . My husband thought the veal scaloppini tender and very delicious. We will definitely go back to this restaurant. We ate early but the restaurant was packed when we left.More

It's been a year and one-half since our last visit and the previous visits before that were pre-covid. If you look at previous reviews they were very positive. Unfortunately, it seems like a number of management related decisions has impacted the quality of the experience...negatively. Arrived and was seated quickly and handed paper menus for food and wine. Perfectly acceptable as that suggests both menus change regularly. We were surprised that the food menu has been greatly reduced in choices but found starters and entrees that sounded good. We chose a nice bottle of wine, server went to look for it and returned saying they had no more of it. We picked a different bottle and she left only to return to say they were also out of that one. Defeats the purpose of printed paper menus if you don't update them timely. She then offered us a specific alternative that her boss had specifically recommended for us. It was a wine producer we've never heard of before and would not look for in the future. Starters arrived. I had the meatballs because I truly enjoyed them at this restaurant on a previous visit. I found them to lack the flavors I recalled and they were served lukewarm. The entrees were tasty but the presentation and quantity of food was lacking.More

Our first post covid vacination indoor restaurant dinner. The good news is we observed them totally stripping each table after each diner and cleaning the tables before re-setting. Chose Divino for a special occasion as we have enjoyed previous visits. Food is very tasty. I...was a bit disappointed by the size of the portions but meals are so good each plate or bowl was empty when I was done. Service was fine. Waiter was friendly. Two negatives though I would not lay this on the waiter. (1) Upon arrival at about 7 pm, almost immediately as we were seated, the waiter says "I have some bad news" and proceeded to tell us about half the menu was no longer available. (2) I felt we were very rushed- we had four courses- salads, pasta, main course and dessert and we were out of the restaurant in about an hour and fifteen minutes. Main courses were brought out while we were still eating our pasta. There were empty tables so it was not like people were waiting to be seated. I would still recommend Divino as the food is excellent. There is a private parking lot behind the restaurant which is convenient since there is minimal parking otherwise available in downtown Belmont.More

This is a very good Italian restaurant backed up by a quality chef and supported by people who are service minded and engaged. They have a parking lot behind the building which is convenient. Highly recommended.

Divino in Belmont (along with Stella Alpina in Burlingame) provides the best Italian Cuisine on the Peninsula and rates right up there with the best in San Francisco and San Jose. Divino's Italian chef Vincenzo creates consistently delicious food with fabulous flavors and personal-touch nuance....We've yet to order anything we didn't thoroughly enjoy. In addition the wine menu, especially Italian wines, is well represented (try the recommended wines by the glass, I've never been disappointed).Oh, and they offer fresh cannoli for dessert!More

We always have a fun time at Divino. The friendly Italian-speaking staff make you feel at home immediately, and the food is really delicious. Bring your friends and family for your next get together to a true neighborhood favorite in Belmont.

We came here for a business dinner and had a very pleasant evening. Lots of seafood dishes and the pork scalopini was very nice. The place has a nice atmosphere with a small bar and tables spaced across two rooms. Wait staff were friendly and...accommodating.More

Food here is fabulous! Group of 8 of us visited Divino's this weekend for the first time. The menu was a little limited for my very picky kids (no pizza and the waiter a little insulted that I asked but he was goofing around so...pretend-insulted?) Kids ordered spaghetti & meatballs (said the meatballs were good). Adults had - the steak: OMG. It was expensive but HUGE and sooo delicious. I ate most of it, but also shared with 3 adults and 2 kids. The sides that it came with were great too. - veal: must have been wonderful because hubby ate it all in record time; no sharing - gnocchi: I don't like gnocchi as I think it is doughy but this was tender, creamy and delicious. I would totally order it again. - spinach salad: I didn't see the description of this on the menu but it looked good and had a couple of big shrimp on it For dessert, hubby and I had the chocolate one. (Sorry I am fuzzy on the names!) It had a slightly gelatin texture but the chocolate flavor was deep, dark, and delicious. Wonderful evening. We will come again.More

We were staying near SFO and wanted a nice, relaxing dinner. Went to Divino. Great find - a local Italian restaurant with fresh food and friendly staff that actually spoke Italian. Nice Italian list. Highly recommend the apple tart.

Lunch in a reasonably quiet ambience conducive to conversation. Split a salad and had excellent lasagna. Good value given food quality and ambience.

Went here for dinner while driving in the area, and glad we did. Tried the Spaghetti ($17.50), and the Gnocchi ($16.95) and both were very good. Accompanied by a couple of glasses of good wine (Selvanella $15) we had a fine meal. Service was thoughtful...and not intrusive. Would return again when in the area, if I lived around here this would be a regular place to go.More

Four of us had a wonderful evening. Everyone enjoyed their meals and wine and drinks were good. I loved the duck breast though didn’t love the rice that came with it. The veal scallapino was also well liked as was the two pasta dishes. Waiter...was fun and from Italy and the service was great.More
