The Italian food and ingredient quality is among your better options if you want to eat in Berkeley. The cocktails are a bit on the sweet side, service is usually excellent and the menu has the right amount of offerings to ensure high quality ingredients are used. Portions are appropriately sized- which means small to medium sized Italian sized servings... More

When you open and scan a menu to find Rabbit Saltimbocca you know you are in a restaurant fit for foodies. Located in North Berkeley close to downtown Trattoria Corso (cousin to the excellent Rivoli) we found it just right for a pre-Berkeley Rep theatre date. One could easily make a meal of the appetizers with house made Mortadella and... More

I agree with the previous review that portions look small, though extremely well seasoned and flavorful. Went with a party of seven. Had a bunch of appetizers/small plates. The Salume was fantastic. I had the bucatini, which is essentially a combination of the classical sicilian mix of raisins, hot peppers, pine nuts and parmesan. Rich and flavorful (and a dish... More

It's a small Italian restaurant with an open kitchen. The service is very good and friendly. Atmosphere is quite romantic. Wine list consists of mostly Italian wines with some good selections. Barman was very friendly and poured us some tasters. The dishes we ordered, including pastas, were very small - so you need to order a few items if you... More

Went there last Saturday when it was very rainy day. Great appetisers such as warm octopus salad or house made salami , extensive choice of good quality Italian wines. Lots of pasta and fish on the Menu . However we check out T bone steak which was at $52,00 and since its 24 OZ portion we decided to share it... More

Fair service. A bit pushy. Food was salty. I asked for a drink with very little ice and gave up when the drink came with ice. I doubt we will return. Sad because parent restaurant , Rivoli, is better!

We were looking for a place to grab dinner before Theater at the Berkeley Rep. A friend pointed us at Corso. Wow. Wonderful ambiance, we were sat at the Perfect table at the window . The food was all farm to table, really creative and delicious. We had pea sprouts salad on a squash tart that was just amazing. Then... More

Everything we ordered was excellent. The 21st century cocktail was excellent. The service was great. The restaurant is cozy. The reason to go is the Tonno. Out of a fantastic experience, it's the one thing that really stands out.

based on its reviews and menu, we tried this neighborhood place recently. Crowded, moderate noise level makes for fun casual meal. I am giving this place 3-stars firmthis reason: Meatballs (4) were a goodly-sized portion, but my husband felt the whole dish was too liberally salted. I tried them. Yes. His caesar salad had good flavor but was heavily dressed.... More
