This is the kind of place that you spend $25 for two toasted baguette slices topped with avocado and a cup of coffee. I'm of course exaggerating but not by much. Actually the platters are more inventive than most places and the food is really quite good. But its really not my vibe.

We let lucky to find this little spot before it got too busy fro the lunch time crowd! today they had a great roasted pork loin sandwich with an apple/onion compote, argue and rosemary aioli on a pizza bianca. It was a great tasting creation and we were glad that we'd decided to split it - it is huge! and... More

Atmosphere: Tiny, tiny, tiny space. Best visited in nice weather when the outdoor seating can be comfortably used, or take away. Parking: Very difficult with a tight 6 car lot in front and an 8 car lot behind. Coffee: smooth, rich and delicious without being bitter. We usually drink Peets and eschew Starbucks, but this is our favorite. Food: pastries... More

Next to Acme breads, and a winery, with products from both, fresh off the oven as it were, with unusual combinations that at least i have never come across before, this place is a must eat! Would have loved their savoury porridge, but the guy in front was lucking his chops with the last order, so settled for the Persian... More

Delicious place, very pleasant. The bread and the coffee are some of the best ever. Do not let the opportunity to go there and ask for a toast and coffee.

This is a small place but large when it comes to quality of food, coffee and tea. The Persian Breakfast was amazing, marjoram and fennel and mixed greens with marinated cucumber and creamy, yummy feta cheese to mix with apricot preserves on a roll freshly baked from Acme Bread Co. next door. The Avacado Toast was sumptuous and with 'softly... More

I stumbled upon this small Cafe when I came to Acme bread next door. Ever since I stop here for Avacado toast and Latte. Highly recommend the toast but besides that the Persian breakfast is yummy too. I have not tried the wine bar since I usually visit this place in the morning but I am sure it is great.

Bartavelle is right next door to the Acme bakery on San Pablo and Cedar – it’s a small space with a few counter seats inside and enough tables and high chairs outside for maybe 20 people. There’s no WiFi and it’s definitely more of a place for meeting and talking or grabbing a quick coffee/lunch than a spot for working... More
