So blessed to have tried this place. We came here for late lunch/early dinner type and we were starving! Between the four of us we tried carne asada burrito, 2 tamale verde plate (one pork & one cheese with bell peppers), barbacoa mole and we shared tres leces and their caramel cheesecake. The food was really outstanding - so far... More

Casa Latina is a favorite of mine. I come here for breakfast once a week, more frequently if I can work it in. I always order orange juice. They juice the oranges when you place the order, so it is super fresh!! I usually order chilaquiles, or huevos rancheros. It's a nice-size portion. The staff is efficient, pleasant and they're... So happy to have found this place. Was a frequent diner of Montero's on Solano Ave, Berkeley. When it closed I was sad because I did not have a place to go to get a delicious Mexican Mocha. Now I do! The menu is similar to Montero's but they are a Panaderia. They have a wonderful selection of Mexican pastries... More

You would think there would be many delicious Mexican places in the East Bay but there just aren't. Casa Latina is the best place I've been to here. The food is always fresh, huge portions, and a lot of different things on the menu (pupusas! cuban sandwiches! pan dulce!). Service is fast as well.

There are so many great places to eat in Berkeley but my husband and I keep coming back here. the flavors are fresh, the food is interesting and not greasy, the baked goods are amazing (I wish there were some sort of labels on them saying what flavor they all are, there are so many). Burritos are big enough for... More

This place and the Mission (in University ave) are my favorite mexican restaurants in Berkeley. If you are in a budget you can find wonderful sandwiches (tortas), pastries, tacos and burritos for a good price.

Lots of Frida Kahlo reproductions adorn the walls of this charming cafe in West Berkeley. The pan dulce is plentiful. The breakfast options are a mix of American and Mexican offerings (think chilaquiles and breakfast burritos). But they also serve Mexican food all day too so if you're starving for a taco or nachos, this place has your fix. They... More

This restaurant was really good and they had reasonable prices, too. Bread was great and Mexican breakfast was delicious. Went back the following day for pastries and they were good, too.

For $15, I afforded a beer, fish taco and tip. The taco was quite large - you only need one - tasty with lots of fresh veggies well cooked. The decor is very simple. The atmosphere is very casual, and lively the night I visited. I will certainly return.

My wife and I moved here from San Diego and searched a long time for good Mexican food in the Bay Area. We love going to Casa Latina. Their quesadillas have a great flavor and are made with quality ingredients. We usually get Carne Asada or Carnitas Quesadillas when we go there. Plus, the service is great and the staff... More
