The beans were excellent and she let us help ourselves to the beer fridge. The food was very authentic and the vibe of the place was great. Didn't wait any longer than 20 minutes for 8 meals. Tip my hat to the chef

La Mulita is a small family run restaurant in Big Bear City and reminds me of being in Baja, a few booths and tables with a drink frig located near dining area. I want to love it, but, the food is not always consistent. Usually...More

Good friendly service. Great food and I must say their tamales are the best in the Big Bear area. This is one of my favorite places to eat

It looked like the perfect "hole in the wall" type of homemade establishment. We were served stale tortilla chips and underwhelming salsa so we were a bit nervous about the food. Well, the food was unbelievably good. I got the special "Spicy Beef" which was...More

It was pretty busy but the servers were still there for a smile and very attentive to our group of 5. I had to take my plate home and enjoyed it the next day for lunch. Great place for margaritas!

If you like spicy, you'll love their salsa! Really the best on the mountain. I live in Big Bear and La Mulita really does have the best Mexican food. Everthing is fresh and from scratch. The staff is so friendly. Nothing fancy so don't expect...More
