Both times he has ordered the Ground Round Dinner and I have had the Ham Steak and Shrimp Dinner each Dinner has been very good. Very good hometown Diner, great friendly service... We had been on the road for a few hours and in need of some breakfast. We picked Steak and Cakes based on some good reviews. As a kid who grew up in farm country, I was immediately in heaven with the tractors and farm equipment scattered around the property. The parking lot was filled with real pickup trucks, used... Solo Monday night dinner. Two other customers when I was there, and the two waitresses were tag-teaming us to some degree. The previous reviews pretty much cover it, but I'll try to sum it up for you here: 24/7 diner at the edge of town, solid menu, good eats, where the locals go. Service I received was excellent, polite and... More

Typical diner with average food and very polite staff. We had stopped over at a local motel and this was the closest place to eat. Had a burger which was Ok, and my wife had nachos which she enjoyed. Not the best place for dinner but not the worst either.

Food's average; service surly; the place is for locals. But newcomers beware: when you try to pay thecheck with a credit card, you get penalized with a surcharge. Yet no signs are posted and there are no alerts to the fact that the owner only wants cash!

The food was only secondary to the local characters. Seemed like everyone knew each other. They were worth the visit! The food was down home type but that is what we were expecting. Portions were large.

My wife and I unexpectedly found ourselves visiting Blythe with her Uncle and Cousin. Everyone was very hungry but none of us knew the area. My wife and I check Yelp and we saw Steaks & Cakes. We remember we have visited Steaks & Cakes once before and had a great experience so it suggested it and had another great... More

Found it! This is the closest to my boyhood memories that I can find, next to going home. Sausage in the gravy, it don't tastes like pepper. Smooth and savory, and the biscuit not a huge hunk of bread, like a baking soda biscuit small and soft. Oh and the rest of the meal was great. The servers were nice... More

Have probably driven past this place 100 times and never stopped. Finally decided to give it a try and it is has the best food possible. The menu is extensive and the food preparation is outstanding. Portions are large and the staff is the best. Would highly recommend making a stop at this little gem.
