We had lunch in the Camélia today and it was excellent. Beautiful locally produced food. I made comment on the beetroot purée and was advised it was made from homegrown beetroot, hope mine tastes as good. We declined the cheese course because we just couldn’t...manage it, the house wine was also very nice and well chosen .. we will definitely become regular visitors. Great food, friendly good service, clean and very reasonably priced, what more can anyone want?More

A few years ago I had a big 0 party here one evening for 40+ friends and family. Nothing was too much trouble, great care was taken by Thierry and Marianne and everyone had a delicious meal and made happy memories. Having moved from the...country it was a pleasure to come back and be treated royally at lunchtime...along with many other hungry diners. This was such a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was busy but the service and food were both faultless. The choice on the menu was excellent and every course was superb. The husband does the cooking (by himself), the wife is front of house serving all...the meals and drinks. All vegetables are home grown. There was just the right amount of time between courses. It was a really lovely evening in this typically French restaurant. My only criticism is that the lighting needs to be toned down. Highly recommended.More

We booked for a Wednesday lunch and when we drove into the deserted little village we wondered why This all changed when we opened the door and it was nearly full of happy locals We were warmly greeted and shown to our seat We had...the Menu du Jour boisson which comprised of 5 courses, wine and coffee The excellent soup was served in a large tureen and you ate as much or as little as you liked This was followed by an entree that was delicious Choices for mains were lamb or fish Both we beautiful, the fish with a cream sauce, fish moist, lamb cooked to perfection and accompanied by beans and rice respectively The cheese course was a slice of blue and a soft white with some salad leaves and extra baguetteThe choice of three deserts was difficult but an excellent chocolate mousse won out The meal was complemented by a very good rose and finished with a coffee The wife, front of house and chef husband did an excellent job of keeping the courses flowing at the perfect timing Service was friendly, helpful and highly efficient, especially given the fact every table was occupied At €14 a head it was an amazing bargain This is well worth visiting to sample a truly delightful lunchMore

The first bad customer service I have received whilst living in France, went to an almost empty restaurant and was told they were full after returning from somewhere that wanted our business the same amount of people in the restaurant. We are obviously not good...enough for you so I won't ever returnMore

Suggested to us by our holiday hosts, we were both completely blown away. Simple surroundings, so don’t judge when you arrive, but the food is incredible. All the vegetables are home-grown, and with 5 courses for 20 euros it was easily worth double. Worth a...visit!More

This restaurant will always be busy because it is full of local people who recognise its value and quality. It is advisable to book in advance to ensure a seat. The menu is restricted but the quality is assured.
