Large menu, great food, super service and a great family atmosphere. Never pads by without stopping for a great meal.

Good EATS and even better prices. Extensive menu selection, service very friendly. Easy access off I-5 and the perfect place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Before heading back south from the Firestone Walker XX Anniversary party at their Paso Robles brewery, I heard about this hole in the wall barbecue joint in Buttonwillow, CA. It is not much to look at, and is a very dated roadside diner that caters to locals and long haul truckers (and the occasional hungry road warrior, like myself). But... More

Located around 160 miles north of Los Angeles, it is hidden behind one of the roadside gasoline & fast food villages just off of the interstate 5. We stopped there to gas up, figuring that any stop with multiple gas stations would be cheaper than a "one station" fill-up. Also thought we might grab a rest stop and a quick... More

Want to get filled up with a good taste in your mouth afterwards? This is the place. I go here all the time after a track day at Button Willow Raceway. I just tried the beef ribs on our last 2 trips. They were delicious. So was the Coleslaw and the bbq sauce. Their sample cup of chilli is quite... More

Isn't it great when you "settle" for what looks to be the only acceptable restaurant within 50 miles, and it turns out to be somewhere you want to come back?? We were spending the weekend at the Motel 6 next to the freeway, because I was spending my days at Buttonwillow Raceway. Let's face it, this area is a truck... More

We ate here years ago, and finally came back through. We had the deep pit sandwich with onion rings and the tri tip sandwich with garlic fries, loved it all! Meats were tender and great flavors. The garlic fries were awesome, stayed crispy even after they got cold (I'm a slow eater) I also couldn't decide to use bbq sauce... More

This restaurant is roadside along route 5 set back a bit from the gas stations and fast food joints You feel like you've stepped back in time as you enter. Check out the front wall with pictures dating back to the 30's and information about the history of ButtonWillow. We stopped en route to the Bay Area for a midday... More

I travel up and down the State on a regular basis for business. Sunday on my drive to Sacramento I stopped for gas in Buttonwillow and checked for nearby restaurants. Willow Ranch Restaurant had a number of positive comments for their ribs. Big Mistake. Look carefully at my picture. This is essentially a lazy cook's ribs. It appears they parboiled... More
