I wrap up each shopping expedition with lunch here - always the original fish tacos. I was here last week and even though it was busy, I had my order within 5 minutes. Delicious!

Rubio's makes delicious fish tacos and shrimp tacos. We liked the flavors and the fresh toppings for each of them. My husband also enjoyed the sauces/salsas for them. For a fast food restaurant, the food was quality. We'll return.

I know...it's fast food, but we love this place so much...we'd prefer this over "fine dining" any day.

Hungry after a long drive we made the mistake of picking the first restaurant we saw. Rubio's turned out to be a small fast food Mexican restaurant. We shared a shrimp taco. He had a side dish of pinto beans. They don't serve coffee. The music was tinny and annoying. Couldn't wait to leave.

The food was the average Rubio's. We went about 2pm and there was only one person working the counter and he was rushing around trying hard to make everyone happy. It took us awhile to get our food and we had to clean off a table for us to use.

Craving Mexican food close to the hotel I was staying at. My search brought me here and was not disappointed. The tacos and quesadilla were excellent, dip them in their smoky but spicy red sauce. Even better.

We were staying at the Legoland Hotel and drove a few minutes to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. We were looking for something fast, but did not want fast food. Rubio's was not greasy, it was tasty and fresh. Even my 8 year old enjoyed her meal!

OK, the place was pretty empty so I had my order within seconds. The place was spacious and clean with outdoor seating. I had the California bowl with grilled chicken. It was fresh and tasty. I like the salsa bar too.

Seems to have a nice selection of fish tacos. Beans were good along with chips. Taco seasoning was slightly more than I expected but OK. Flavorful in general

Pretty good fish tacos and burritos for an outlet mall. Had the blackened Mahi Burrito and enjoyed it. This is probably the best food I have had in an outlet mall.

Description
The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
