We walked from our unit to Dini's which we have done before. Had lunch including the teriyaki chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the nachos. Also the house chardonnay was excellent. Wife had a margarita but was too spicy and returned it. Overall a...More

We were staying up the street and our first choice was full, so our host recommended Dini’s. Since we arrived a bit before 7:00, our server offered the happy hour drinks & appetizers, in the restaurant. And we were there just before sunset, we were...More

We enjoyed sipping the signature Iguana cocktail with an ocean view on the patio. The service was friendly, the atmosphere pleasant, and the food tasty. We also appreciated the convenient parking lot onsite.

Dini's best asset is the Great view! The menu offers lots of choices, but the food is too expensive for what they offer . The happy hour drinks weren't very costly but the tequila tasted like it was watered down ...

We had a good casual dinner here. Fish tacos, fish-shaped pizza, pasta, key lime pie - all was good. Friendly, helpful service. Great location - could see the sunset across the street. We enjoyed it. Friendly toward kiddos.

This is the place for sunset and happy hour drinks in Carlsbad Village (just 2 blocks from the village center actually). For years a local would play Taps at sunset on the patio. Didn't see him this time, but it's a nice addition! The food...More

Stopped by Dini’s for lunch to check it out. A co worker said to give it a try. Place was busy but took a table outside. It’s literally road frontage. Waitress was nice. Had the soup which came out Luke warm and the table agreed...More

be sure to catch a sunset at Dini's. The drinks priced right and you get a decent pour. I believe it was Ginnie that took good care of us at the bar. The food is good, not super but very good. It is certainly worth...More

Even on a cool, windy day we enjoyed sitting outside for a late lunch because the view is so good, even with a highway in between you and the ocean. This is not a fancy place but the food is good and the prices are...More

Took so long to bring a menu over we felt forgotten despite the place not being busy. Just a trashy drunken dive bar. Try another place!! We left after being ignored.

We do not have the calamari sandwich on our menu. It is something that we run on special occasionally. We always have our great calamari strips available. The sauce is what makes that sandwich so delicious, so if the chef... More

"The Mikes," as these two are fondly referred to by the locals, opened Dini's Bistro in 1987 and it has become a Carlsbad landmark. Co-owners Michael Dini and Michael Arellano continue the heritage established by the Dini brothers- Amerigo, Columbo and Michael Sr., who were the proprietors of San Diego County's oldest bar, McDini's, founded in 1890. The Dini brothers tradition of effervescent hospitality and service to their patrons and community is alive today.
