We sat on the back patio which was lovely. Being from Arizona, the lush surroundings were enjoyable. Good wine and pretty good food!

Stopped in for a drink and decided to stay for dinner. Amazing food, solid wine choices, served with a touch of rustic banter: Q: Does it get loud? (we were with a baby) A: You like our food? We need the business - so not...so loud. Amazing ravioli with truffles, burrata and pesto. Dessert was ok. Not cheap, but acceptable given the quality, atmosphere and location.More
Enzo should be avoided at all costs. Printed on the menu: "the customer is NOT always right". This unwelcoming attitude pervades the establishment. The gentleman with thick glasses was very slow to speak with me when I walked in to request a table at the...half empty restaurant. We only considered dining here because other options nearby had a wait. The same man was our waiter and was not welcoming to our group either. He was gruff, tried to rush our food order multiple times, forgot our water preference, and brought me the wrong wine. We decided to leave after one drink and dine elsewhere. I suggest you do the same and avoid Enzo at all costs.More
We were staying in Carmel for one night of our road trip holiday. We tried a couple of places but couldn’t get a table anywhere. Stumbled across this restaurant just as the owner was dealing with a rude couple who had refused to pay for...their meal AFTER eating it all. They weee shouting at him and I saw another couple decide to go somewhere else as a result of that. We managed to get a table and enjoyed every morsel of food that we ordered. My husband is extremely fussy about his beer and he was very happy - we both really enjoyed our meal. Yes it is pricey but you are getting superb food and very attentive service. I highly recommend.More
I have lived in Carmel Valley for the last dozen years. This restaurant is now my favorite. The ambience, food and service are delicious and authentic. True Italian cuisine where every bite delivers a sensational flavor that makes your tastebuds jitter. The staff makes everyone...feel like family and is extremely attentive. I love the quaint feel and the table by the fireplace. The prices are not for the faint of heart but you get what you pay for. Absolutely love this restaurant. San Carlos in CarmelMore
My dance company, Ballare Carmel, had our welcome dinner for 10 people at Enzo. It was an incredible evening with spot-on food and service. The crab ravioli with scallops and sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy champagne sauce was out of this world! Other delicious standouts...were the seabass with artichokes and puree black truffles and braised lamb shank in a delicious vegetable/tomato ragu. Enzo, the owner was very friendly and visited our table and the staff was charming. Highly recommend.More
Second time here. Real Italians running the show and you’ll never be rushed with your dinner here. Service is excellent. The food is OK. When we got our Parma plate the prosciutto was as old, probably cut ahead of time and had been sitting out....The Parmesan chunks were dry. I had pasta bolognese, which was good but had oregano in it, not sure how that happened. Still, would come here again when in town. Nice atmosphere.More
Tasteless, small dishes and high prices. The place had a cozy atmosphere, but that was the only positive thing, unfortunately.
We had our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception at Enzo's Restaurant. It could not have been better! The cocktail hour was in the bar area with Enzo himself, slicing Prosciutto & Parmigiano Reggiano paired with a wonderful Italian sparkling rose. Our guests could not have...been happier. But, that was just the beginning. We had dinner in their Tuscan inspired patio with twinkling lights above our long table. And, the service provided by Italo was outstanding! He was on top of every detail and made the evening fun, too. Everyone's meals were prepared to perfection...no complaints, only compliments. Thank you Enzo, Italo and the chef for making a special day perfect for our families.More
We had a wonderful meal here. My husband and I drink a lot of Italian wine and their wine list did not disappoint. We splurged on a beautiful bottle that matched the food perfectly. The service was warm, welcoming and made you feel as though...you were in Italy.More
We enjoyed the Caprese salad and the Ftirrura Mista for a light/late lunch. The food was quite tasty and the server recommended a nice glass of Rose to go with it.
Completely disappointing. Don‘t eat there. Expensive - especially regarding the poor quality of the food.
We really enjoyed flat bread appetizer (really a thin pizza) and the rigatoni entree. Followed up with the lemon panacotta. It is a cozy atmosphere offering indoor, partially sheltered “alley” tables and street side seating. There is a bar and tv for sports fans to...enjoy.More
Owner/bartender ran my card for $50 before showing me an itemized copy for my two drinks which should have been $30. I brought it back to him and he corrected the issue but I am not convinced it was done on accident. I would keep...an eye on your money if you go here.More
Very enjoyable Italian inspired dishes in small tastefully decorated outdoor seating area. Met Enzo the owner who checked in with us during our meal. Salad was fresh, lemon chicken tender, well seasoned, simple and straightforward side dishes, fish was fresh, wine selection good. The accompanying...side dishes were all perfectly cooked and spiced which we appreciated. So often the side vegetables are bland or overlooked. Finished with delicious dessert, after dinner wine and espresso. The menu is not inexpensive but the quality of the food makes all superb. I commented how fresh the dipping olive oil was for the bread. The owner said it comes from Carmel Valley. Nice touch.More
