Very enjoyable Italian inspired dishes in small tastefully decorated outdoor seating area. Met Enzo the owner who checked in with us during our meal. Salad was fresh, lemon chicken tender, well seasoned, simple and straightforward side dishes, fish was fresh, wine selection good. The accompanying side dishes were all perfectly cooked and spiced which we appreciated. So often the side vegetables are bland or overlooked. Finished with delicious dessert, after dinner wine and espresso. The menu is not inexpensive but the quality of the food makes all superb. I commented how fresh the dipping olive oil was for the bread. The owner said it comes from Carmel Valley. Nice touch.

Crab ravioli and papardelle bolognese were really yummy, dishes are not very large which was good for lunch. Wine was nice. We really enjoyed service. Only four stars because it is expensive. However, True friendly Italian. Grazie!!!

Just wandering through Carmel and my husband says, "hey do you want to stop in here for a glass of wine?"...that began our evening at Enzo (unbeknownced to us otherwise). Jacque, the bartender/mgr was so welcoming. We sat at the bar chatting with him for over an hour. He had great stories to tell and recommended delicious wines. Since we were already there, I checked out the menu of this charming place and we decided to stay. We sat at the bar but they have a quaint dining room and patio dining as well. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables and potatoes. My husband enjoyed sea bass and said it was delicious. An unexpected stop brought us a wonderful dining experience. Check this place out! So good!

We had dinner at Enzo. The experience started off promising, eating their asparagus soup as starter - delicious (and only $10!!!!). We were happy. But the main dish was a huge disappointment. I had pasta with truffle, the pasta was too al dente, meaning not fully cooked (parts were still crunchy, so that's too al dente even for Italian!). And the truffle wasn't worked into he dish, flavors not developed, boring. My wife had the risotto - at least the restaurant called it risotto on their menu - there was no creamy consistency at all, and the rice was again too al dente. Overall, we will not return. We spent over $100 and the food just wasn't good. On top, the restaurant has some tables outside, and to serve those tables the waiter will open/close a door that connects to the main dining room inside, bringing cold air in each time the door open/closes. Our table was right next to that door and in December it's cold outside (and at Enzo's it's cold inside too!)

We had a wonderful meal here. My husband and I drink a lot of Italian wine and their wine list did not disappoint. We splurged on a beautiful bottle that matched the food perfectly. The service was warm, welcoming and made you feel as though you were in Italy.

We really enjoyed flat bread appetizer (really a thin pizza) and the rigatoni entree. Followed up with the lemon panacotta. It is a cozy atmosphere offering indoor, partially sheltered “alley” tables and street side seating. There is a bar and tv for sports fans to enjoy.

We were staying in Carmel for one night of our road trip holiday. We tried a couple of places but couldn’t get a table anywhere. Stumbled across this restaurant just as the owner was dealing with a rude couple who had refused to pay for their meal AFTER eating it all. They weee shouting at him and I saw another couple decide to go somewhere else as a result of that. We managed to get a table and enjoyed every morsel of food that we ordered. My husband is extremely fussy about his beer and he was very happy - we both really enjoyed our meal. Yes it is pricey but you are getting superb food and very attentive service. I highly recommend.

Enzo should be avoided at all costs. Printed on the menu: "the customer is NOT always right". This unwelcoming attitude pervades the establishment. The gentleman with thick glasses was very slow to speak with me when I walked in to request a table at the half empty restaurant. We only considered dining here because other options nearby had a wait. The same man was our waiter and was not welcoming to our group either. He was gruff, tried to rush our food order multiple times, forgot our water preference, and brought me the wrong wine. We decided to leave after one drink and dine elsewhere. I suggest you do the same and avoid Enzo at all costs.

We had our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception at Enzo's Restaurant. It could not have been better! The cocktail hour was in the bar area with Enzo himself, slicing Prosciutto & Parmigiano Reggiano paired with a wonderful Italian sparkling rose. Our guests could not have been happier. But, that was just the beginning. We had dinner in their Tuscan inspired patio with twinkling lights above our long table. And, the service provided by Italo was outstanding! He was on top of every detail and made the evening fun, too. Everyone's meals were prepared to perfection...no complaints, only compliments. Thank you Enzo, Italo and the chef for making a special day perfect for our families.

Stopped in for a drink and decided to stay for dinner. Amazing food, solid wine choices, served with a touch of rustic banter: Q: Does it get loud? (we were with a baby) A: You like our food? We need the business - so not so loud. Amazing ravioli with truffles, burrata and pesto. Dessert was ok. Not cheap, but acceptable given the quality, atmosphere and location.

My dance company, Ballare Carmel, had our welcome dinner for 10 people at Enzo. It was an incredible evening with spot-on food and service. The crab ravioli with scallops and sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy champagne sauce was out of this world! Other delicious standouts were the seabass with artichokes and puree black truffles and braised lamb shank in a delicious vegetable/tomato ragu. Enzo, the owner was very friendly and visited our table and the staff was charming. Highly recommend.

I went to Enzo on Feb 28, 2020 with my friend who is from Abruzzo Italy and we had an amazing experience. All of the staff and the owner were very accommodating and the food was incredible. When you dine with someone who knows the food and wine so well it is an absolutely wonderful experience to enjoy such a lovely atmosphere and have such wonderful flavors:)

This restaurant was amazing! I had the special which was fresh gnocchi with lobster....I fell in love! The gnocchi was pillow soft and dressed in a light tomato sauce. My husband's lasagna was fork tender and delicious! Run don't walk over to enjoy Enzo's!

Service here was excellent, everyone was very friendly and attentive. We were sat outside due to COVID and it was a cold night. They brought my girlfriend blankets to keep her warm which was a nice gesture. The food here is average, nothing to write home about. We had the crab ravioli and the prosciutto and burrata flatbread and both were fine.

Second time here. Real Italians running the show and you’ll never be rushed with your dinner here. Service is excellent. The food is OK. When we got our Parma plate the prosciutto was as old, probably cut ahead of time and had been sitting out. The Parmesan chunks were dry. I had pasta bolognese, which was good but had oregano in it, not sure how that happened. Still, would come here again when in town. Nice atmosphere.
