Have been here twice. Our favorite of the Carmel restaurants. The fish is sublime!!! The decor is traditional Japanese with wood, dark and very private. There are flying fish hanging from the ceiling. Everything we have tried was great.

I love the little nooks and hideaway areas in this restaurant. It gives a feeling of privacy and calmness. To come from the busy streets filled with shoppers into this quiet retreat was very relaxing. All the food was quite good. We enjoyed the California...More

My husband and I always make a reservation here when we know that we will be in Carmel. It is a small restaurant with excellent service and terrific food. We always enjoy our meal there.

Very nice and balanced appetizers, entrees were somewhat disappointing for the price. Small restaurant so reservations are suggested! Friendly service. Check $$$$

Fabulous black bean halibut... Superior almond sea bass .. And then an awesome hot fudge sundae. Listen, there's a million places to eat around here, but you're truly missing something different and spectacular if you pass up FFG. And if you're celebrating something, maybe Kenny...More

Exquisite food and service. Highly recommend this restaurant which has first class fushion cuisine. Can't beat the Almond Sea Bass. Dish of the night by far, amazing really.

If you like seafood this restaurant is excellent. I had the black bean halibut which was he best fish dish I have tasted. The calamari starter was also excellent.

If you are looking for a seafood restaurant this is the place. Reasonable prices for Carmel and fresh seafood. We had the crusted sea bass and the halibut and both were delicious. The selection of wine is very nice with again reasonable prices. When we...More

All of Carmel is super pet friendly but I don't think Flying Grill is. I could be wrong but the restaurant is pretty small and all enclosed.
