Called Mission Ranch about reservations and learned they don't take them, so made our way over after a trip through Point Lobos Reserve. Talk about perfect timing! We arrived at 3:50PM and there was a line at the door, which opened at 4PM. We nabbed...More

I visited on Thursday, October 5th. They open at 4 for cocktails and 5 for dinner. They don’t accept reservations. It was busy—packed—and it was only about 5:30 p.m. Maybe everyone had the same idea to get there early to see the sunset. The sunset,...More

Enjoyed the patio seating as the sun set. The chill was kept at bay by the fireplace and patio heaters. Great and friendly service. Enjoyed a small family gathering here.

What a place to go to eat at. The food, wine, and service were first class. You have to go to this place if you in Carmel even though you might not be greeted by Clint Eastwood himself. We were told there was an hour and half...More

Stayed at the ranch and ate here twice in three days. The back room is quieter than the one with the piano bar. We found the food to be excellent and original. Would highly recommend. Also, hotel guests get priority seating which makes it a...More

This is an upscale restaurant and lodging set in a quiet pastoral setting in Carmel. Sheep grazing in the pasture. Clint Eastwood saved this place when it was supposed to be torn down for Condos. Very historic dating back to the 1800s but totally up...More

Great view of the open field with Clint Eastwood's protected sheep. Food is good and mostly American style. The restaurant is on the grounds that provides rooms and tennis court. Back in the 1980's when Clint Eastwood was mayor of Carmel by the Sea, he...More

We waited 90 mins for a table but we were glad we did. Food was good but the restaurant was so dark we couldn't actually see what we were eating when it came!

If you're in Carmel and want to act like you're hobnobbing with the casual rich, as well as the "big hat-no cattle" set, Mission Ranch is for you. Ordered two hamburgers, one glass of wine and the bill came to $60 with tip. Burgers were...More

The Ranch serves a brunch on Sunday ( 10:30am to 1:30pm ) that is the best on the Monterey Pennisula. Yes, it is standard that no reservations taken ( only on Easter, Mother's Day & Thanksgiving ) but get there when they... More
