We arrived in Carmel and asked the guys from the local Fire station where they recommended for us to go for brunch and their recommendation of the Little Swiss Cafe was excellent. This is a little cafe with a very cosy European feel about it and all the staff are extremely friendly. The cafe has been around for years and... More

Crepes by Brittany at the Wharf in Monterey came in at a close second, but the cheese blintzes were amazing to say the least. This small but charming restaurant in the heart of Carmel is very good. The breakfast menu was extensive and the portions were large and tasty. There are only about 10-12 tables but would be worth the wait if you have to. Great spot to eat if you're in Carmel and need to eat.

The highlight of this restaurant is the mural painted on the walls - which is well executed and interesting. Breakfast was ordinary. The spinach on the Eggs Benedict was not fresh and almost pureed. The hash browns - ordered crispy were greasy. Fortunately the service was good and so was the coffee.

First of all everyone we encountered in Carmel is so friendly and in such a great mood! To be fair this is one of the most idyllic cities in the world. The staff at Little Swiss is no exception. We were warmly greeted as soon as we set foot in the door and the experience just got better and better... More

We go to Carmel about 6 times/year and we ALWAYS eat at Little Swiss Cafe. Blintzes, Eggs Benedict, the best pea soup anywhere... If only there were more places like this
