Excellent bagel. The bagel with smoked salmon was fantastic! The lox was from Santa Barbara Smokehouse. Coffee was not that good, actually. Comfortable environment, friendly service.
Went there on a Sunday with a party of 4 around 11. Overall we enjoyed our visit minus a little confusion at the start. When I asked for a table the host said they were full, didn't offer to take my name. So, I had...to request to put my name down and he said there were people before me. It was really strange, almost as if he didn't want to deal with it. I'm assuming it was because he was young and not trained. Anyway, there was a short wait, but no too bad. We were seated outside and the table and chairs were a tad dirty, but nothing a quick wipe down didn't fix. Our party ordered the blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs, and the veggie bagel sandwich. The food was yummy and our waiter was friendly. Definitely recommend.More
Delicious takeout lunch spot. You can also dine in. Fast, friendly and well masked counter service. We had a turkey avocado bacon bagel and loved it. Sesame bagel was fresh and chewy. It came with a serving of tasty potato salad. Street parking in cute...downtown Carpinteria. Short drive to the beach for a picnic.More
Their Nantucket salad is excellent as is the honey mustard dressing. I've ordered it twice and its been great both times. Ate last time before the restaurant lock down. But can still order it to go! The only reason I gave service average rating is...I once ordered Tortilla Chicken soup but it came with no tortillas in it. I asked why. Server said they were out of tortillas. I told her she should have informed me when I ordered so I could change my order. Its not the same without the tortillas.More
Absolutely delicious! We had bagels and potatoes with coffee and tea for breakfast and everything was perfect. They had a great selection of coffee, tea and breakfast items. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If...we’re ever back in the area, we’ll be stopping in!More
We stopped in, for lunch, in March, 2020 on our way to san Francisco on US 1. This is a neighborhood favorite, and we were not disappointed. Homey atmposphere. Good and complete menu. Food and service was excellent. My wife and I both had the...tutrkey burger. Highly recommended.More
I was worried they would be busy at 8 on a weekday morning but we got a comfy booth by the window. Service fine, mocha flavorful and free of nasty syrupy sugar, huevos rancheros absolutely delish, husband loved the montecito with lox capers red onions...etc. I am so glad this place was near our hotel- great way to start the day.More
sun-dried tomato schmear is great! Get that on an onion bagel or for the meta version go for the sun-dried tomato bagel! I have to swing by whenever I head to UCSB. I lived in Carp for about 5 years and spent many Saturdaty and...Sunday mornings here.More
We enjoy eating here whether we eat outside on the patio or inside. They have the best B-egg-ls and State Streets on everything bagels or salt bagels. They also have the best ice tea. The staff is great, ambiance terrific.
I love the lox bagel with cream cheese, tomato and onion toasted! Always fresh bagels and great mimosas!
You have to get there early to get the superb cheese bagel...they sell out fast. The bagel breakfasts and lunch sandwiches are the best I've ever tasted...succulent and not too chewy. We split a veggie omelet and conversed with the friendly locals who gave us...great tips on what to see and do while in town. This is a real homey place...no frills.Just wonderful food.More
It had been quite a while since I had time during a visit for business to stop by for breakfast in the morning. This time I was lucky and could stay in the area for 2 nights and stop by at Jack's for breakfast. Great...service / good atmosphere and good food. That's all you need. Keep up the great work!More
We stopped in on our way to Santa Barbara. My son said this is where he always stops on his way to and from L.A. Nice friendly service. Prices were reasonable.
I eat here on the average of once a week. The outdoor seating is so pleasant and the service is great. I always take my out of town guests here for a real treat.Breakfast is good no matter what you get. I love the yogurt...with granola and fruit, but the eggs are delicious every way they serve them. Of course, bagels are their speciality and they are delicious. I usually get a bag to take home. I highly recommend this place!More
