I have eaten breakfast twice at Tommie's in the past 2 weeks and would love to be able to give them 5 stars, but the breakfast this morning was not as satisfying as the first time. The first time, we ordered top sirloin steak & eggs with biscuit and gravy, along with the chili verde omelet. Both were delicious! The... More

The service was friendly and attentive. The cafe is not fancy but it is clean. We ordered one of the breakfast specials of chile verde omelette. For the sides we chose the hash browns crispy with onions, which were very tasty. Instead of toast, we chose their biscuit and county gravy, which was also tasty. Breakfast was very filling and... Lots of diners are more about the experience than the food. Tommie's fits that model... food is adequate, nothing special, IMHO. Older local joint with lots of locals. Nice people. Go for breakfast... plenty of good options and fair portions. Staff is nice, lots of repeat business. They are closed for dinner. Totally fine for a local diner.

Absolutely delicious, with immense proportions. We make a point to stop in every chance we get. Their only challenge is that their dining room only has 6 booths and 4 tables.

We have been traveling back and forth between Sacramento and Palm Springs for years. Fortunately we found Tommie's. When going south we stop for lunch. Going north we wait to have breakfast. Breakfast: You will never walk away hungry. Have the loaded hashbrowns with onions. Big enough to share. Lunch: You can still have breakfast or a choice of many... More

My boyfriend and I love this place and would recommend coming here to anyone that wants great food, service and an overall, memorable experience. The orange juice here is to die for! Make sure you order a large! We both always have to order the biscuits and gravy, it's the best we've ever had. I wish we caught the name... More

Left Palm Springs on way to Sacramento early Sunday morning. Our first stop was Castaic just north of 6 Flags Magic Mountain. If Heading North get off at Parker Exit. Turn right then a quick left. Tommie's will be on your right. There is parking in the rear but we parked on the street. The food was good. No matter... More

This place is only open for breakfast and lunch. The food is good. They have breakfast, sandwiches, burgers and steaks and other great food. The inside is a bit old, what you would expect from a truckstop type location..

Right off the main drag in Castaic this place has not changed since the 1950's. Parking is to the rear and the place is small, maybe 10 tables. The food is good and the portions are generous. Our waitress kept our drinks full and was attentive to our needs. Definitely not a romantic place for a date, but nice for... More
