I ordered a beer that I did not like and they replaced it after asking how I liked it. I had the fish n chips and my wife had artichoke &veggie sandwich. Nice people and cool atmosphere!

Stopped here for lunch on a drive between Eureka and San Jose. Pleasant atmosphere, several locals eating lunch. The food was good, and surprisingly local and organic. Nice stop in a nice town!

Railroad Square has become the gathering place for locals. (Sort of like "Cheers" in Boston.) Foid is freshly made, full bar and beers on tap. If you are a sports fan, there are plenty of TV screens for viewing. I like it because the acoustics are such that there isn't a high level of noice like some pubs. Try the... More

A very local vibe at least during happy hour (all day Monday; otherwise, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) where a local pint is $3.00. If you only have 1 brew then leave $4.00; if you have more than 1 brew or drink then you are one satisfied person. Ladies, listen up: during happy hour, mostly men occupy the bar. If... More

While staying at Auberge on the Vineyard mid-week, I scanned the Web for a restaurant for dinner. After deciding on Railroad Station, I called to see if I needed reservations; but, no one ever answered the phone. So, I figured the place was too busy for the staff to pick up and I just made the short trip down the... More

Nothing fancy but the food was interesting; and of course they serve wine! After a day of wine tasting, though, I was ready for something else, like a martini.

We had lunch on the pretty outside deck. Our Lab was also able to join us.Hubby had the huge, super thick cheeseburger and the most wonderful hand cut fries. The bun was an awesome egg type one from Cousteau Bakery. I had the shrimp po-boy sandwich and had wished it was on that same egg bun!But it wasn't.Next time I will... More

We had the black and blue burger, and a side salad. Both were delicious. The jewel was the bacon bloody Mary. We look forward to coming again.

Very friendly staff! We had our dog and they allowed her on the patio with us, so that was a plus for me. Pricey, but I ordered the fried brussel sprouts with bacon and cranberries and it was JUST AWESOME! And plenty that I shared and didn't leave hungry. Very nice patio too. Husband had a hot dog and he... More

Stopped in at the only place that sounded good while driving down from Oregon. The burger was surprising good on fresh bread. A good option they offer is the half fries and half salad with the burger. The service is laid back but the drinks were kept full and we never felt neglected. Quite a few local types were having...
