On Highway 41 45 min from the south entrance to Yosemite this is a jewel. I highly suggest you stop for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Real Avocado, the salsa is made with fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, cilantro garlic. YUMMY. Anything on the menu is fantastic. Rancheros sauce. The atmosphere takes me to the little places I would see off the beaten... More

What a little gem this restaurant is. The staff were warm and friendly as soon as we arrived. The lady Norleen helped my husband choose what to eat. Her recommendation was delicious. We had drinks too I had a Margarita which was gorgeous. The service was first class they even let us plug our mobile phone in to charge it.... More

This is a Mexican food restaurant that served good Mexican food. It was recommended to us by 2 different persons from the local area. We were promptly seated and our drink order taken. All meals come with chips and salsa. I had the Carnitas and they were some of the best I have had. Awesome. The others in our party... More

The positive reviews outweighed the negatives, so I thought it couldn't be that bad. This was the worst Mexican food EVER. My daughter was wise and chose the BLT, which she said was ok. Hubby and I however, could not digest our enchiladas rice and beans.

I was highly skeptical going to Alfonso's after I read what a handful of people wrote about this little place on the 41 highway 30 miles south of Yosemite, just past all the hubbub in Coarsegold. Like many, I passed it by for years and that was a BIG MISTAKE as I'm about to tell you. I went to Alfonso's... More

First of all, from the outside, it's pretty unpretentious which might lead you to pass it by. But inside, it's quite attractive and creatively decorated. The service and food were both excellent with loads of choices and very reasonable prices. For the gentlemen, a visit to the men's room is not to be missed, but not for the usual reasons.... More

It would be great to have some meat in our burrito's! Bland and very expensive! Keep driving north and stop at the Mexican restaurant on the right when you get to town, it's delicious!

The food is always delicious and the staff always friendly. Fridays are karaoke nights. The self-serve chip & salsa bar are a bonus. They also have home-made fudge and other treats. A must-stop, if in Coarsegold.

When I went to this restaurant I used a Visa gift card given to me for Christmas. The meal was $13.04(including tax). I gave the waitress a $50.00 gift card and when she brought the receipt back the balance was $34.36. I had not used this card anywhere else and that is what she accused me of doing to show... More
