Love the food, and the owners, the chicken and waffles are amazing. Can't go wrong with the combo plate. We go there regularly for Sunday brunch

We wanted to try alligator (it's chewy tough) so we got a huge combo platter. Frog's legs, oysters, shrimp and the alligator..plus enough catfish to feed a family of 6. It's all fried but not in a greasy battery way..more like a deliciously seasoned crunch. I have to say the whole experience is unique for this area.

I had given up hope of finding a restaurant that had actual New Orleans cuisine, not just someone's idea of what it should taste like by looking at photos. I had the best catfish I've had in a long time. Etouffee was wonderful. I watched bowls of delicious smelling gumbo and jambalaya pass by. The catfish and etouffee combo called... More

Even tough nothing is really comparable to New Orleans the rice and beans were very close and very good. Worth the drive, not in a great area but definitely worth it. Yes, I will return and recommend it.

I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, and when I go to NOLA Po’Boy and Gumbo Kitchen I feel like I am home again. NOLA is THE most authentic New Orleans experience you can find in the San Francisco Bay Area. The first thing you will notice is the ambiance. It looks and feels just like a neighborhood restaurant in... More

As natives of NO, my bf and I are fussy about Cajun food. We have had some great Cajun food in Denver and Houston of all places. Here, not so much. The gumbo was awful. The oyster po boy was not that good and certainly not authentic. The service was surly. They didn't want us to sit where we wanted... More

Stopped by this little independent restaurant and weren't disappointed!! The food was authentic and freshly made. We were fortunate to get a table but not as lucky to get it food in a timely manner, although once noticed that our ticket never made it to the kitchen the waitress brought us a bowl of ettofee to try; it was wonderful!!... Funky little place in an unexpected area. Food was mostly good, got fried fish and shrimp. GIANT portion ( I suggest you share one). Only issue was my shrimp was fried to death. Catfish was perfect, everything else was great too. Service was good, a little slower than most, but I expect that when getting fresh fried southern/Cajun food.
