A short walk from the Del Coronado. We had a sidewalk table and enjoyed people watching. Service was good, very friendly. Salads were fresh and generous in size. The 12 inch pizza is enough for two and was delicious.

We sat outside so we could enjoy a quiet meal! We were very pleased with our pizza! They have a large selection of pizzas that are competitively priced! Great service.

Enjoyed bringing the family to the Village. Prompt, friendly service, good beer and tasty pizza. Had the original crust, which was excellent. I would definitely try it!

I went there a week ago: the pizza was good and also cheap. For sure it is not a really italian pizza, since it looks much more an american one; however, nothing to complain about the taste. The location is nice and it is appropriate for an informal meal with firends.

We love a good salad and pizza and By all accounts this was good. However, the red sauce was a little sweet. But the service was great and the ambiance was great.

We love to come here at night and they are open later than most places. Great low key for pizza/beer/wine and salads. They have a couple of tables outside and the food is always good.

In Village pizzeria you can try a good pizza even if it is different from the italian ones. Good service. Only the pizzeria close at 22 p.m so better if you go early about 8pm.

We got in late and didn't feel like leaving the hotel room, so ordered The Billy Goat and the Chopped Italian Salad to share. Both were great, but pricey! The sizes offered are 10", 12", 18" and 28" and vary by the type of pizza. The 12" was just right for two, but was $20! Of course, that's the upcharge... More

Description
Established in 2002, Coronado's locally owned and family operated Village Pizzeria offers an authentic slice of New York City in the heart of beautiful Coronado, California. Using only the freshest ingredients, Village Pizzeria prides itself on going to great lengths to preserve the integrity of the iconic New York style pie, down to importing authentic New York water to replicate the perfect thin crust dough. Located just a block away from the Pacific Ocean, the restaurant's original Orange Avenue location provides cozy interior dining and ample outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy the coastal vibe of the area. Village Pizzeria's second location opened in 2007, just steps away from the bay, boasting a spacious event-ready patio perfect for any family gathering. With nearly 20 pizzas to choose from, Village Pizzeria also delivers a healthy, tailor-made spin on old-school New York pizzeria offerings. Touting four different crust options for each pizza-original NY-style crust, thin crust, Sicilian style, and gluten free-as well as a variety of specialty pizzas such as "The Billy Goat" a white pie with fresh spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, sun dried tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinaigrette and goat cheese, as well as "The Islander" with Canadian bacon, pineapple, onions and bell peppers. In addition, the restaurant's menu features a variety of made-to-order salads, pastas, calzones, hoagies and desserts.
