We always have pizza here when we are staying on Coronado. It is delicious, and makes for a lighter, less expenive meal in contrast to some of the other restaurants on the island. This restaurant has never disappointed us in any way.

We usually try to eat here when we stay in Coronado. We were a little disappointed this time as the pizza was not up to their usual standards (maybe just an off day). They have a 48" pizza that is big enough to feed a...More

We tried this place for lunch on a Thursday, ordering a salad and a hoagie sandwich. These took about forty minutes to prepare and cost over $20. The sandwich came with nothing. If you must visit this joint, just order pizza by the slice. One...More

So many varieties and combinations of pizza, so good! Thinner NY style pizza with a few twists on traditional pizza toppings. Great food, fun atmosphere.

It was a little chilly that evening but they have pull down plastic curtains that do a pretty good job, and overhead heaters. The pizza was excellent as was the chopped salad.

Good food, good location, good atmosphere and service. Prices where mid-range with salads and pizzas large enough to share. Did not try other Italian dishes, but they looked delicious at other tablesMore

Great place to tame that hunger -- just be careful that you don't order too much. Our medium salad was more than enough for the two of us - same with the 12" pizza. Bring someone to share the order.

Description
Established in 2002, Coronado's locally owned and family operated Village Pizzeria offers an authentic slice of New York City in the heart of beautiful Coronado, California. Using only the freshest ingredients, Village Pizzeria prides itself on going to great lengths to preserve the integrity of the iconic New York style pie, down to importing authentic New York water to replicate the perfect thin crust dough. Located just a block away from the Pacific Ocean, the restaurant's original Orange Avenue location provides cozy interior dining and ample outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy the coastal vibe of the area. Village Pizzeria's second location opened in 2007, just steps away from the bay, boasting a spacious event-ready patio perfect for any family gathering. With nearly 20 pizzas to choose from, Village Pizzeria also delivers a healthy, tailor-made spin on old-school New York pizzeria offerings. Touting four different crust options for each pizza-original NY-style crust, thin crust, Sicilian style, and gluten free-as well as a variety of specialty pizzas such as "The Billy Goat" a white pie with fresh spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, sun dried tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinaigrette and goat cheese, as well as "The Islander" with Canadian bacon, pineapple, onions and bell peppers. In addition, the restaurant's menu features a variety of made-to-order salads, pastas, calzones, hoagies and desserts.
