My breakfast of fruit and yogurt was good and enough for two meals. We went back for sandwiches -- a classic grilled ham and cheese and real, roasted/sliced turkey and avocado. We loved the 1950's diner feel and our very friendly and pleasant waitress despite...More

The quintessential American diner perched on the corner of Orange and 10th. Unassuming exterior gives way to a fully authentic diner experience with extensive menu for any-time-of-the-day eating experience and some of the friendliest staff you could imagine. We sat at the counter and had...More

Take a trip back in time. See what eating out was like in a 50's cafe. Great heaping plates of food and steaming coffee served in real coffee cups. A real man's breakfast. burgers--malted milks--they have it all while you listen to Johnny Cash and...More

Had a brilliant brunch here whilst visiting San Deigo. Short wait for a table but were staff really organised at managing the list. Great vibe to the place, especially loved the junk boxes. Excellent food and Service. Left feeling very full.

This is a tiny dinner. We sat at the counter. The service was prompt and polite. There is no air conditioning so the kitchen made the entire place very warm. The pancakes are scrumptious and I would happily eat here again.

As usual we made time to visit Claytons twice during our stay. Absolutely love their homemade hot sausage, mix between sausage, chorizo and red pepper flakes. Spices up your eggs with one bite.

Great food if you don't mind a bit of a wait. Fun old-school diner atmosphere. We enjoyed our breakfast here on our firs visit to beautiful Coronado.

I grew up in Coronado, in the 50's and Clayton's was a perfect 50's counter/juke box place with great food. It still is. Breakfasts are incredible and so are lunches and dinners. There is usually a line to get in, which shows it's continued popularity.

Straight out of the 50's, with music to complement the atmosphere. Within the last few years it has changed ownership, and "spiffied up" a bit, resulting in improving, rather than losing, its ambience. Food is good, at good prices, as is service. The place is...More

When you arrive they will put your name on a list...The coffee shop is very busy, but I'm sure they will be able to accommodate your party of 4 in a reasonable aount of time
