My friend and I went to Grandma's chicken house based on the recommendations of friends. First impressions did not impress. The inside was lacking warm and did not give the impression of extreme cleanliness. The chicken was good. Tender and juicy. I did not like the wedges of deep fried potato. I think they would do better serving french fries... More

I have been back four times since my last review and they have over cooked the chicken every time! I knew it was too good to be true. The fish and chips are like school fish sticks. I ordered a burger from the menu and they stopped selling burgers even though it's on the menu. I tried to give this... More

I've worked close to this place for 11yrs and never stopped until today. What a surprise! This chicken taste like sombodys grandma cooked it. You get large pieces of potatos also crispy, buttery rolls and I had the coleslaw. It's not so much spicy Louisiana style just good fried chicen cooked to order. You have to call ahead and it... I've been going to Grandma's Chicken for years. You can get a 12pc meal with broasted potato's, rolls, and choice of salad (macaroni is best) for Under $20 ! All food is made to order so it's best to call ahead. they also have rib and fish dinners (fresh Not frozen), and burgers, but their Chicken is rated the best... More

We went there after reading reviews. The chicken was pretty good, but the rest was a disappointment. We told the guy it was our first visit. After we ordered we discovered that they were closing in a few minutes and that we would need to take our food with us. We would have ordered a different meal, less expensive than... More

First of all, let's talk about those potatoes first because they are getting a bad rap. They deep fry them with the chicken. They are just boring potatoes with nothing on them. BUT, so are french fries. Think how awful FF's are before salt, ketchup, Tabasco, etc. So here's what you do... Take them home, smash em real good, add... More

Just finished the day at Knotts and felt like a chicken dinner. But with three adults and three tired kids didn't want to spend another hundred bucks! Did a search on my iPhone and came up with this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Its reviews claimed great taste. And guess what - the reviews proved to be right! The atmosphere was poor but... More

I've been going to this place for years and I have to say, i've never had better broasted chicken and potatoes! The place is kinda dumpy inside, so I always take it home to enjoy.
