Restaurant in shopping mall looks ordinary, but has extraordinary seafood! Owners are from the east coast and really know how to cook clam chowder and make lobster rolls. I have had both the above dishes, as well as salmon dinners, seafood salads, and fish tacos. Every meal I have had is excellent. Atmosphere is VERY casual. You can eat inside... More

It takes a lot to gross me out! But kudos Off the Hook (nastiness) you have! First, the bathroom...no. Major yuck factor. I should have left then and my gut said to. I ordered the seafood combo plate and while the shrimp was good, the fish was funky. I was reluctant to taste because it smelled 'off.' Being from Florida,... More

Siri suggested this restaurant when we asked for seafood in Leucadia - but it's really in Encinitas. Regardless of the inland geographical location the fish was very fresh and cooked to your individual preference. Pick a fish, pick a seasoning, pick a plate or bowl. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere is ultra casual. Prices are market price - which... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner tonight at Off the Hook. I ordered the halibut bowl which comes with a very generous piece of fresh, tender halibut nestled in a bed of brown rice and veggies. You have many ways to have your fish prepared, but I always choose lemon and olive oil. My hubby ordered a snapper... More

The food at Off the Hook is excellent; our party of 4 all had different entrees and we all enjoyed them. The fish is wonderful.

Just happened to come across this restaurant as I needed to pop into the nearby Best Buy. Saw their sign for "Fresh Main Lobster". Not much in the way of décor, located in a strip mall but I thought I give it a chance. The lobster roll at $15.95 included coleslaw and fries. The lobster was falling out of the... More

This place is amazing! The fish is super fresh and very tasty. There is some sort of seasoning on the vegetables which I loved. The portions were very reasonable and the price was even better. The food was fast and the service was friendly!

My family is on weight watchers and sometimes it is difficult to find healthy and delicious choices. If you like seafood or fish, you can enjoy it in many different ways plus have a plate of rice and grilled vegetables.

A family of four can easily spend 80-100 dollars here. The thing is, it is an order at the front fast food style restaurant and the food is not that good. You have to get your own drinks, silverware, salt, etc... And sit at fast food style booths. If I am paying anywhere close to $100, I want to sit... More

First, let's get one issue out of the way. This is the apotheosis of a fancy venue. In fact, it's pretty rough and basic. But, for a reasonable price, you are served an ample portion of fish, pretty fresh and well prepared, with fries, rice, vegetables. Actually, the price is not all that much less than the same sort of... More
