Every time I visit Solace I am surprised by the unique options. I like to order things I have never had and am never disappointed. I gave introduced many friends to thus place and they become fans as well. You can eat inside or out. There is a balcony and quiet little outside side balcony. They have delicious little treats... Encinitas has many food choices but Solace stands out among the many. Knowledgeable staff great food and drink selection and cozy atmosphere make this place well worth a visit. There is both indoor and outdoor seating although the view is not great being in the open air is pleasant and you can at least see the sunset. The menu is... More

Our party of four for brunch on a recent Sunday morning LOVED the place, the server Gary, the Bloody Mary's, and their amazing cinnamon rolls! Nothing to complain about, and it was even reasonably priced! Can't wait to back to Encinitas!

The heart of a restaurant review should focus on the food, and that is where Solace truly excels. My wife and I enjoyed an unusually well prepared and nicely served dinner recently. The beef cheeks dish was unusual because every detail on the plate was delicious ... the veggies were perfect and the meat was about as good as beef... More

We needed to grab an early bite before going to a dance program our daughter-in-law was in so we stopped in here. So glad we did! This place is a little tucked away but so worth going to. As others have shared the emphasis is on local artisanal goodies, like the cheeses on the cheese board we ordered. We got... More

Really good service, food and ambiance make this one of the top restaurants in Encinitas. The emphasis is on local artisanal purveyors such as handmade cheeses or Eben-Haezer eggs. The Alaskan Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon is always outstanding. It's fun to try different options on the artfully presented charcuterie plate. You also can't go wrong with the warm goat cheese... My girls and I had Sunday brunch here to finish off a lovely girls weekend in San Diego. Solace was recommended to me by a friend for it's tasty brunch, eye candy waiters and mimosa caraffes ($33/6 glasses). I'm happy to say that all were true! The staff was incredibly friendly (and cute!), the service was fantastic and the food... More

Solace had been recommended to us by locals. We had reservations about this restaurant when we were escorted upstairs. It was very noisy and busy, with several large families eating there. We were offered a table outside on a verandah. It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed the ambiance. Our seafood was properly cooked and the service was good.
