Good quality Italian food, good variety of choicex, good service, very fair prices. You can't ask for more.

very friendly from the moment we arrived, recommended food (wild salmon) and let us taste wine. No pressure but very attentive. Food was great. Highly recommended
These five stars are for food quality and taste. While the server was extremely friendly, my drink glass was empty about 50% of the time I was sitting there. And they don't have Diet Coke. Their fresh caught salmon was about the best salmon I've...ever had. Amazing lemon based sauce with capers. I only wish the piece of salmon was a little bit bigger. The fried calamari could not have been better. The bread was served in generous portions, and it was definitely fresh-baked. All in all, I'd say this was a five-star dining experience. If I'm ever in the neighborhood I will definitely be back.More
We really like Frad's. The food and service are always good. We like to stop in for an early dinner about once a month. The specials are usually my "go-to" while my spouse orders the eggplant parm or a pasta. Paul's barrel wines never disappoint.
Stumbled in for dinner. Can't believe our good luck! Encouraged by our server to try a glass of Merlot from a special reserve. Excellent! Had a bowl of carbonara that was delicious. Homemade pasta. Loved every minute of the food and service. Local, neighborhood restaurant!
This was a fun place to gather with friends for some great pasta with Meyer's lemon sauce and fresh salmon. The sour dough bread was incredible, and our blackberry sorbet was the perfect dessert. Our server went above and beyond in taking care of us.
This place is quirky and authentic! This is the second year in a row we have been through Fairfax and have eaten at Fradelizios. Great fresh food and friendly service! The homemade barrel wine is terrific and the specials are delicious!
This extremely popular place is a favorite of many, including lots of locals, because of its lively atmosphere (read happy noise) and friendly staff. The food, however, is bland, to my taste and reminds me of the Italian restaurants of the 50's. I had an...enjoyable evening but would probably not return unless I was more interested in a "fun" place than its cuisine.More
We were going to go somewhere else since it almost 4 pm and saw that Fradelizo's opens at 4:00. We waited a few minutes and were very glad we did. Old style Italian cozy decor. We were greeted right away and sat by a window....What was interesting is that within 30 minutes half the seats were filled. We started off with the Grilled Asparagus Salad. The salad was proportionately well put together. The flavors complimented each other. I had the Lemon Homemade Fettuccine with seafood in a white cream sauce. The pasta was al' dente. The fish was not drowned in a heavy sauce. It was very good. My wife had the spaghetti and meat balls. She really enjoyed it as well. I had a glass of their rose from a barrel. The owner blends it himself. I liked it because it wasn't sweet and had a bolder character than most Roses.More
I stumbled by this restaurant and I'm so glad I did! The staff was awesome and the food was great! Fairfax was a cute town with easy parking between many of the shops. Stop for a meal!
Same location a local secret fill with colorfil locals all greed like family. We had a table for 8 reserved. No problems once we arrived. Bread and water was endless as we visited amoung family, no rush, no pushie waiter staff. I recommend the house...wines bot redd and white wines were reasonablity price and as well crafted as more expersives wine on the wine list. Menu is off the charts for varity. I had simple pastia and meat balls for $17.00 and great meal with the house red wine. Other has fish and meat dishes, everyone was thrilled with prsentation, taste and pricing.More
If you want the real Fairfax experience, head to Frads for delicious authentic Italian food, fantastic wine and service with a smile. These guys have been here for over 20 years and know what they are doing. Local veggies, homemade pastas, fresh fish and the...food is fried in rice oil, which makes the calamari truly taste healthier. This restaurant is family owned and supports their local farmers and community. The house wine is unreal, its all right from Napa to there door, doesn't get much better then that. I always love the fresh fish, homemade pastas or mushroom dishes but when its in season the lamb its a must try!! No dress code here, show up in jeans and the cost of the food is adorable but still worthy for a fancy date night if you want to impress that special someone. They don't do lunch anymore which is a bummer but after over 20 years its just wonderful that this town staple is still in business and has only gotten better with age! I would highly recommend dinner here any night of the week and bring the whole family.More
Glowing reviews convinced me to dine here. Either relatives wrote the praise or people have never previously experienced decent service. I get it, on any day a server or hostess can be preoccupied or lack enthusiasm, but there is a point at which you have...to wonder who did the hiring. When I called to make a reservation the night prior to dining, the hostess was so stressed out she was raising her voice and actually rude, telling me it was "very busy" and hanging up after I gave my name and time to reserve. I should have taken that as a sign, but I decided to overlook it. So I arrived early, at 4:30 pm and was the only customer. The "waiter" (I use that term very loosely) came over after about 10 minutes and I ordered wine. Not a great wine, but it was the house wine. It took awhile to place my dinner order, though it wasn't an unreasonable wait. The salad with "prawns" was a joke- if those were prawns, someone caught them in a kiddie fishing hole. Ridiculously tiny and tasteless. Also ordered the polenta, which was good. Never saw the waiter through my entire dinner. I did notice him doting on an elderly couple across the room, and attending to other guests, so I surmised he had mixed feelings about a middle-aged woman dining alone. The hostess did check on me.Not until after I finished was I asked about another glass of wine. I waited for at least ten minutes for the non-waiter to ask if I needed anything else. Boy, did I receive my check quickly, and the bill was very promptly returned. This is the first time I have written a message on a check to please divide the tip between the hostess and bus boy, since the server was "substandard". I felt that was being generous. So, I would recommend people travel the short distance to San Rafael and have a more satisfying experience. Unless you don't care about service..or prawns.More
This was such an amazing find! We had taken a day trip from our RV Park in Olema to San Francisco, and on the way back were looking for a place for dinner. Fairfax, as we were passing through, seemed a good choice. We parked...right on the main drag and looked, and fortunately decided on Fradelizio's, asw both like Italian food. Hit paydirt there, really the jackpot! The interior decor is not surprisingly Italy-themed, but not in any lurid way, but unpretentiously low key; however, the linen tablecloth and white linen napkin sort of dining without being pompous at all We were seated at the window, and the manager - owner ? - came to greet us personally as he did with all the arriving guests. Many seemed to be regulars. Our food arrived promptly and both my husband and I were absolutely thrilled with our dinner - tasty, superbly prepared dishes with fresh ingredients, deliciously cooked ... quality food with great flavor and cooked just right - decent portions and fair prices as well. I can recommend this restaurant most highly! Would definitely be my first choice if in the area again.More
