This upscale casual eatery offers good food and friendly service. They're a bit pricy, but not crazy expensive. When we arrived for this meal the table wasn't set up for service, and we had to ask for silverware, salt and pepper, and such. We ordered onion rings with balsamic for an appetizer and they were very good. Red onions with a great batter and a good blend of flavors. They did need some salt, but were otherwise a good choice. She had the Margherita pizza and it was perfectly baked with fresh ingredients. Again, it needed some salt but was otherwise well done. I went with the penne and was quite happy. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was homemade and delicious.

I like Jane at the marketplace, the food is lovely especially the Salmon. You can eat inside or outside; we ate inside, and the service was great with a nice cheerful waiter who was very efficient. The place is nice and clean with pleasant, surroundings. Enjoyable dinner.

During this covid pandemic it was difficult to find a restaurant open for indoor service. My husband and I found this place to be incredible attractive and service outstanding with wonderful fresh food.. I wish this restaurant was in florida.

One of the best meals I had in Goleta

I was in Goleta for business for almost 3 weeks. So I tried many places. I was reluctant to try this restaurant because it looks very formal on the outside but I was desperate for good food. The host was very kind and told me that it was not really a dress code and that I was ok to go in. I had the duck and the cooking was perfect. Service was fast but not overwhelming. Definitely recommend this place.

A Plain Jane, It's Not!

This is a terrific restaurant. Was looking for a change from the food at the local Ritz Carlton. So we ventured out for something nearby. Trip Advisor rated this place highly, so we decided to try it. The food was really good and the menu had many innovative choices. We shared the grilled artichoke with garlic aioli. Never had an artichoke prepared like this, and it was really exceptional. The lamb chops were prepared in a brown sauce and were perfectly cooked and were delicious. My wife's grilled chicken with Anaheim chilles was equally delicious. Robin gave us very attentive and efficient service. This is a very solid restaurant with very unusual and very tasty dishes on its menu. I forgot to mention the coconut cake with sauce anglaise was amazing!

Covid time. Lunch

We have been before, always great food! With patio dining, we had a great time. Robert was our server, really made our lunch. I had their house burger, great flavor, hot fries. Wife had kale salad with grilled salmon. We both loved our lunch! We will be back!

I found this place a nice calm and peaceful to enjoy a meal and chat. Servers are wonderful and get the orders straight. I enjoyed a hamburger; I usually get the salmon but decided on a different dish, this time.

Passing thru town, hungry and happened to find Jane….Pizza (3 little pigs) was really good, thin crust and tasty, my wife had the chicken picata also delicious.

manager was very rude

party of 6 had our 4 LB chihuahua with us in her dog bed. was told get that dog off the table!! so we did complied.. One of our guest told her she could have handled that a little better. she went into melt down mode and would not fill any of our orders and told us we need to leave and she is calling the police? will never go there again..been going there for years..

Love the Sunday brunch

Totally yummy salmon eggs benedict. My husband had the brie and mushroom omelet. I can count on the great service. I only wish it wasn't overlooking a parking lot. However, if it weren't in a strip mall I'd give it a 5 star.
