Great location and setting. Interesting to see valet parking at a small sea side setting like this. Could use more self parking spaces (very few about 12). Wait staff very attentive and pleasant. Entres a bit pricey. Seafood chowder excellent and worth ordering. Beautiful seaside...More

Fantastic Views. Depends on what you feel is expensive. We try to keep the cost down when eating out every day. It is well worth treating yourself to this restaurant.

Nice view, though we didn't get the window row - no matter. My shrimp and crab linguine was fine, but the scallops in my wife's scallop and shrimp angel hair pasta were absolutely tasteless and limp. One thing that stuck out was the tip suggestions...More

Eat outside if you can, and enjoy some of the starters (artichoke is great and crab cake was superb). Then make sure to eat the chowder that is a signature dish for a good reason.

Great views from the patio dining area of the beach and ocean. The Caesar salad with grilled salmon and the Sand Dabs delicious.

Bar is fun for drink and appetizer. Window table with ocean view is best for lunch or dinner. Waiter ...a local person...was fantastic.

As we were wanting a romantic dinner with great food, we were hoping Miramar Beach Restaurant would be the place-it was! We had a ocean view table which was amazing. The filet was perhaps one of the best I've ever had even better than very...More

We go to Miramar frequently when we're at the coast. Without a doubt they have one of the very best seafood chowders - we think of it as clam chowder which is what it tastes like though there is additional seafood that you don't notice...More

We've been to Miramar Beach Restaurant and Bar several times and the food is pretty much average, nothing spectacular. The reason we return is the location and atmosphere. It's a really cool place overlooking the ocean. Lots of old photographs.

Yes. It’s open all the time I believe. We were there in December and it was open.

Description
The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side.
