We stopped at Café Aquatica on the way home Sunday afternoon. We experienced quick, friendly service and enjoyed our drinks on the terrace outside the café. My mocha was tasty, topped with homemade whipped cream. We brought home goodies for later. Other reviewers mentioned the macaroons so I had to try one. It was big and delicious. I enjoyed it... Great coffee and baked goods in an earthy, real people environment. A place that strangers can become known through good conversation and good energy.

Amazing cup of joe overlooking the ocean. Have a great outdoor patio that is dog friendly. I had an orange green tea scone that was scrumptious and i am not usually a scone fan.

Visited Aquatic Cafe today having had a lovely walk at the local beach. My girlfriend had the clam chowder which she hardly touched as it lacked flavour and was too watery. I had the chicken salad. Not much I can say other than it gave me food poisoning and caused me to be physically sick. It cannot be anything else... More

We stopped here on our way further north and were BLOWN AWAY with how good the food was! The clam chowder was the best I've ever had. I might almost say the same about the coffee and I've had some good coffee in my day. Yum! The woman who served us looked like a bona fide mermaid!

If you want selection, go elsewhere. There was only one choice for breakfast, but it was fantastic. Poached eggs on amazing bread. $8.50. Great coffee, too.

While driving up highway one to Mendocino, we consulted Trip Advisor for lunch suggestions. Cafe Aquatica had positive reviews so we elected to eat there. The service was slow - over 15 minutes for basic sandwiches. One of my friends said he had "worst egg salad sandwich of my life". The chowder was hearty but the broth was watery and... More

The seating and views make this little cafe more of an experience... we wanted to just sit around for hours (if only they served beer & wine) :) sandwich and salad were very nice and fresh- but it was really all about the views. cash only!

Found this little gem on recommendation - and couldn't agree more. Enjoyed wonderful seafood chowder and sandwiches, while sitting in the sun on the river bank listening to a guitarist perform. I expect this was a special Sunday event, but couldn't have been more magical. Well worth the stop, although parking might be a bit of a challenge.
