Stopped in during the road construction on hwy 50 today. Had some lunch and visited. The food was good, pleasantly surprised with the burgers. Good service and nice place to relax and take a break from driving. Good place to stop after a long day on the mountain as well.

Good food and wonderful fireplaces in restaurant and lounge. Stunning scenery out back with Lover's Leap.

While the lodge is not the same as it was in its heyday, it is still a great place to stop for a bite on your way up Hwy 50 to Lake Tahoe. The tri tip had just come off the grill and it made an excellent sandwich.

I don't know if it's me or the food here tastes very salty to me. Breakfast and burgers are pretty good but stay away from everything else.

We did a full day climb at lovers leap with Petch at Lovers Leap Guides and after climbing all day the only thing I could think about was an ice cold beer! This was the perfect place as it was the first stop on our way back to South Lake Tahoe. The people were friendly and beer was cold!

While waiting for a room (that I ultimately asked and received a refund for since it was so dirty), I had lunch here. The food was quite bland. The turkey melt was better than the philly cheesesteak, though that isn't saying much. The fries were okay. Service was terrible. Took over 30 minutes to get two sandwiches because I'm pretty... We ate here for breakfast one morning over a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food and beautiful snowy views. Stopped here again at the end of March 2015 and, sadly, the food was not so good. My eggs were cooked properly but the potatoes had no flavor, the bacon was overcooked, the orange juice was not very good, and... More

Drove up to Strawberry Lodge on Highway 50 for lunch this week, and, hoping to gaze at the snow out the window while we ate lunch. Alas, there was no snow there, but, was some just a few miles up the road. We walked in to a very homey scene of a young woman decorating the big Christmas tree near... More

We stopped for breakfast on the way to Lake Tahoe. We were greeted by single server who appeared to be new and not a multitasked, but a nice person despite all the tattoos. The servings were generous but all bathed in grease. Several items on the menu were "out", which didn't bother us but could be a little disappointing. The... More
