Great location to watch the sunset. Meals were decent and service was good. There is an upstairs and downstairs with different menus. We went on two separate occasions and tried both options. Upstairs had a casual bar menu with tacos, burgers, nachos etc and downstairs...More

We absolutely loved Duke’s for our lunch visit. Had a little bit of a wait but it was well with it. We had the fish tacos and the pork sandwich. The food was wonderful, service was spot on, and the view is fantastic.

Very fun upscale and upbeat environment! Staff are friendly and welcoming. This is a popular destination. It may be difficult to get a table, but definitely worth the wait!

All here deserves the 5 points: Service (for friendliness and Speed), Food (for choice, for size and taste), Location, view, Drinks! The crab wontons as starters are nailing it!

It's where you go in LaJolla to enjoy a drink, nibble on happy hour appetizers, and soak up the salt air and spectacular sunsets on the patios overlooking the Pacific. The loaded nachos were tasty and filling, the house was wine OK. And that sunset...!

The food here is amazing! Would highly recommend if you're in La Jolla! There's a beautiful deck area overlooking the ocean and while we were there we witnessed one of the most amazing sunsets!

The menu is not extensive, but the grand expanse of the room is neat- Hawaiian touches everywhere- the only thing is the service is painfully slow. But servers are friendly anyway.

I didn’t have a chance to make it to the original Duke’s when I was in Waikiki, so I jumped at the chance to try it in La Jolla. Great view of La Jolla Cove and the menu offered great variety. We ended up splitting...More

Great views and ambiance and the food was wonderful. We like to go fishing and especially like to eat our catch, so we know what fresh fish is supposed to taste like. The chef at Duke's gets it right. We had a sashimi appetizer and...More

My daughter and I met my childhood gymnastic coaches who moved to San Diego/La Jolla when I was in high school. They chose the corner outdoor table at the earliest dinner hour which provided a spectacular view of the Pacific ocean. We had such great...More

Description
Duke's La Jolla is named in honor of native Hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku, an Olympic swimming and water polo medalist and the father of modern surfing. Overlooking the La Jolla Cove, Duke's serves genuine, friendly hospitality with contemporary interpretations of traditional island plates. As a tribute to Hawaii and Southern California beach lifestyles, Duke's celebrates family, views and the spirit of aloha. We welcome our guests to become a part of our 'ohana.
