Came to enjoy early Sunday night dinner on a rainy night. Food was good and service was very good. House Chardonnay was fine for beverage. Crab cakes were nice, but not exceptional. One of our party ordered chicken paperdalle but was served chicken and stuffing. Good but not what she had ordered. One of other two guests had shrimp and... More

We visited solano's to share some bites between 4 of us and the staff made the experience an unbelievable night. When they first split our Caesar salad onto 4 plates we were appreciative and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we ordered the brown butter lobster ravioli and blackened shrimp with risotto to share. When it came out we each had a... More

We have wanted to try this restaurant for years but never seemed to have the time. This year we are staying close to Old Town La Quinta so it was an easy walk. Glad we went as the food and service were terrific. I had Osso Buco, which was the evening special, and it was great. My wife had the... More

We were visiting friends in La Quinta and decided on Solano for happy hour. Seated at a table in the bar. Happy hour wine was good. I had the tortilla soup, which was good, the girls had there wine. Chef Paco fish tacos were excellent. The girls had Brie burgers, which they enjoyed. We timed everything right for a Friday... More

In a recent stay in La Quinta, we had two dinners and one lunch at Solano's. All were very good with consistently high-quality preparation of dishes and a high level of service. Prices also were very reasonable. The kitchen has the right touch. Meats are cooked perfectly to order. Fish is never over-cooked. Pasta is always al dente. Ingredients are... More

We dined here 2 years ago with the same friends and were still impressed that the food was excellent and the service wonderful. We had good wine and each dish was delicious, so don't be afraid to try whatever your palate says because you won't be disappointed. And by chance if you have any food allergies they will gladly accommodate... More

We have had consistently good experiences at Solano's. It has a nice casual ambient atmosphere. We often choose to sit in the bar area for dinner. ( Same menu as the dining room). Service is excellent. We are still exploring the menu, but so far have found the selections very good. The Mahi-Mahi special was great, and the pasta dishes... More

We arrived about 5:30, and it was not very busy. We were seated immediately but it was 5 minutes before our server appeared. She took our drink orders, but drinks did not arrive for 15+ minutes. We went ahead and ordered app and dinner. Drinks arrived after the app, and then dinner arrived before we were finished with the app.... More

This is very odd, a very good restaurant in a strange, little place, called a village. The food quality, portion size, and overall ambiance is closer to real foodie dining than many of the, so called ' fine dining' experiences found in the USA. Super, but simple, menu and a straightforward, and well priced, wine list make this place a... More
