The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is consistently good but not great. The prices are very reasonable. The bentos are a nice option for a quick lunch or dinner, and they do a very good job with their Hamachi Kama. I also really like their Hello Peno's stuffed jalapeño appetizer.

Several creative rolls and many old standbys. Good lunch specials. If you are not into sushi the also have tempura and teriyaki dishes. Service is very good.

Have eaten here in the past and it wasn't bad. But, stopped there a few weeks ago, later in the evening & the experience will keep me away for a while. First, the place was very, very noisy. Second, the place was dirty. The booth was dirty, the table was dirty, the menu was dirty. Everything seemed sticky & in... More

We're always on the look out for good Japanese food in the desert but this place wouldn't be my first pick. Had the lunch special which comes with miso soup, salad and rice then you pick 3 items of your choice from a list of about six things. I had the Teriyaki chicken, tempura shrimp (1 piece) and vegies (3... More

We love coming here. There isn't great ambience but if you want the freshest most creative sushi in the desert, this is the place. I would give excellent but the ambience is sort of sports bar ish.

The family went out tonight for a birthday dinner - we wanted to return to nearby Zen Sushi, but for some reason they were closed. Instead we came to Sam's, willing to try a different place. The ambiance was ok, and the service was good. The problem was the food itself. One of the things we ordered was a $25... More

We had heard about Sam's Sushi in La Quinta and a friend gave us a 30 dollar gift card so we had to check it out. First impressions were that the place looked and felt like a fancy MacDonald's ambience wise. A big, square room with the echoes of bare walls kind of surprised me, despite the ubiquitous sushi bar... More

We hv gone to Sams for about two years but this particular visit wasn't its normal it was just super busy and I think they may hv been overwhelmed, not sure! We treated some neighbors that accompanied us. The rolls r good but getting a table wasnt easy and seems the prices went up. I'm not positive but some other... More
