We stumbled upon this restaurant during a weekend visit to Mendocino. It is an extraordinary find. We are foodies and have been blessed to eat in some of the top restaurants in the country. This makes our top three. The food tacos were filled to the brim with perfectly cooked sword fish, and the fish cakes were cooked to perfection!... More

We read about the location of this place , in the back part of of a gas station/convenience store/cafe, and thought it must not be a very appealing atmosphere, but we were wrong! We were picturing a down at the heels tiny rustic place, but while it is small, it is cozy and charming , with white linen tablecloths and... More

Don't let this little gem get passed by! We loved our meal! The restaurant is very small and intimate, but the food is fine dining at its best featuring fresh and local seafood prepared to perfection!

What can I say other than my meal and service were nothing short of perfection. This tiny, unassuming little place shares a building with a gas station and dinky post office, as many of my favorite restaurants do. But, when you step inside, the vibe is elegant and intimate without an ounce of pretense. Kelvin, the owner, is very personable... More

Love this restaurant! The fish is so fresh and tasty, it'll melt in your mouth. Also the staff is super nice and the owner is always walking around and checking on customers.

Dinner was delicious. My husband and I started with the black truffles, which we learned had been locally forested just the day before, and they were delectable. The portion was perfect for sharing, although I could have eaten them all. We each chose a fish for dinner, the sole and the sablefish. We both enjoyed our fish and sampled each... More

Delightful owners and staff, delicious food. Small space but they found us a table and we couldn't have been happier

Yes the fish is delicious, but the salads...the salads are to die for. I'm still having dreams of my last salad here, kale, pumpkin seeds, love, perfection. Seriously the best salad. The fish is delicious too, soups delightful, but the salads...

I very, very much wanted to like Wild Fish. Unfortunately, my experience mirrors the other negative comments on TripAdvisor. The restaurant, as noted by others, is really more warm and cramped than cozy. The majority of the restaurant, as others have noted, overlooks a parking lot (at night it won't matter). Wine and food prices, as others have noted, are... More

It is across Highway 1 from the big white and much more imposing Little River Inn where we stayed (Good news there as well) and sits in the rear of a combination gas station, post office and grocery store. Well, please don't let the funky setting stop you from experiencing one of the more artistic and pleasing presentation of local... More
