I've been here a few times and the Chinese food is solid. The problem has been the service being slow. The food is good enough to overlook the slow delivery most times but I will look elsewhere next time I'm in town.

My husband and I were staying at a RV park in Lone Pine for one night and decided to eat out dinner in town. Based on the great reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to give this restaurant a try. I will have to say first that I generally do not like to eat at Chinese restaurants because although I... More

I am wary of Chinese restaurants in other than large West Coast cities because of multiple work trips to China over the past decade and an escalated standard for the cuisine. We were overnighting in Lone Pine and starved after a days driving. Based on reviews we took a chance with this quaint, small, unusual spot. Bottom line: terrific Szechuan... More

We asked locals for recommendations to eat and they said the Merry Go round served the best chinese in town. I'm not sure it's the best i've eaten but certainly the most. Their servings are huge. Also i would classify it more as Thai Food. Great service and friendly vibe.

Ate here on our second night in town for the western film festival. The menu is mostly Chinese, with a few versions of Caesar salad for the Asian-food-averse. We found the food tasty, though we were not as enamored as some of the other reviewers here. Perhaps it was because our selections were more standard, but it reminded us more... More

Kwai is the cook there....a native of Taiwan...her American husband Dan is also there a lot, and the two of them are GREAT ambassadors of good will and GREAT Chinese food as well...I have a dietary restriction that precludes me having any sugar, and Kwai graciously accommodated me every day I ate there...She even did a special 'off-the-menu' spicy hot... My wife and I go to Lone Pine several times a year and we have a favorite restaurant there ... but this since we were there for four nights (and had dinner twice in our favorite) we decided to try this place ... mot knowing what to expect. Turn out that of the 8 page menu, 7 pages are Chinese... More

There were three of us, and we were attending the annual Lone Pine Film Festival. We read on the street marker how John Wayne had a special booth here when he was filming in the area (13 different movies here I think) in front so he could watch what was happening outside on the street. We all had the Chinese... More

We arrived lone pine after 4-5 hours drive. We were pretty hungry, wanted to find a restaurant to eat, this was the first one that website showed. The waitress told us a dish was big enough for two, so we ordered one called "3 flavor fat rice noodle" and another called "3 flavor Kung pao" with a bowl of rice.... More

This is the only Chinese restaurant, that serves 2 types of cuisine. Chinese and Qmerican/Mexican. We ordered from the chinese menu, to-go. I called in my order, snd it was ready in 15min. Shrimp Lo mein, Vege fried rice, and Egg drop soup= $44 Bucks!! Wow! expensive for Chinese food, but Since it is the Only chinese place, in Lone... More

The prices are high to cover the costs of the large portions (we get a lot of hungry hikers, & size the meals for them). Hope you enjoyed your food anyway. Dan More
