We were nine people on a Tuesday morning. Having been there before, I knew that the portions were extremely generous, so we decided to get only five pancake orders for the seven adults to split. There was some discussion as to whether the Dutch baby or the apple pancake was better. The Dutch baby was my favorite - be warned,... More

When it first opened, service, food, and quality were all top notch. Though the crowds have not diminished, service definitely had. It's not uncommon to wait 10 minutes for coffee on a mid-week morning. Slow on refills too. Several times, ingredients in omelettes have been incorrect, food served cold, or not as directed, I.e., wrong sides, eggs not done to... More

It's like walking into 1959. Bare bones basic ambiance with 1950 service and dining selection. Forget about counting calories or watching gluten and sugar. Tip: leave the food guilt at the door and just enjoy it for what it is. This is how our parents ate when they were kids. Take. Your kids or grandkids and watch the smiles.

Again I went there, this time I had two co-workers with me and was the best breakfast from San Jose to Palo Alto. Try the omelet with bacon!

Bacon waffles are wonderful (especially with a side of peanut butter), and the bacon in general is great. Everything else is standard American breakfast food.

While out in Mountain View, CA for work, I had a hankering for blueberry pancakes and headed out to the Original Pancake House. The staff was very friendly and served up a great plate of pancakes. The coffee was good but the pancakes were very good. They have a sourdough starter for their pancakes that gives them a unique flavor... More

I like a good breakfast place that offer efficient service good food. This place offered all. My bf and I both ordered bacon and eggs which come with pancakes. I was surprised when we ordered and the server said which pancakes would you like. We had the option of selecting from most of the specialty pancakes. Yay! I had the... More

I live within a couple of miles and knew of this place but had never eaten there until today, when I took house guests there for breakfast. The service was way under par--The waiter handed me two menus, instead of handing a menu to each of us. Cups were on the table but he did not ask if we wanted... More

Great place to eat!!! Wide variety on the menu and lots of pancake choices! Lots of seating, so the wait was minimal. We stumbled in by searching the internet, but it was obvously popular with the locals.

Decided to take the kids to Original Pancake House in Los Altos. We've got to say, we won’t be going back soon. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess (I mean NOT greeted) probably the owner manager, she was more engrossed in her catalogs or other mail then the customer. Never spoke never said welcome. The 3 of us... More
