We stayed at the Luxe Sunset for a month, as we were waiting for our rental house to become available while our own house is in major remodel. Some Luxe management and staff were great. Most were very responsive. However, several times I rang the...front desk phone range 10+ times with no answer. A few times, I had to ask twice for a service. Lots of amenities -- nice pool area, pilates, tennis, small outdoor gym area with cardio equipment. Also a Big Plus: dogs are allowed at this property -- many people brought their dogs, and this was essential for us,. However, there is no place on the property to really walk or exercise the dogs -- the upper rooms have some grassy areas -- otherwise, it is a hike up the hill from the main lodge area. re: Covid Issues: One evening, the hotel allowed a large event for a social media influencer, to take place in the parking lot at the upper entrance --there were easily 150+ people, at booths and milling around. I went out once to walk my dog and I didn't see anyone in the booths wearing masks -- and there was no requirement for anyone else to wear a mask. This, during a time in which covid is raging again, ICUs are filling up again with covid patients, and the Delta variant is deadlier than the original disease. I was honestly shocked that this event was allowed by management, as it could easily have been a super-spreader. Along this same line, my major complaint: While most of the staff was wonderful - there is no requirement to be vaccinated, --some of the staff are not vaccinated (I asked!) and I saw couple of housekeeping staff who would not wear masks. I saw them cleaning rooms with their masks around their necks -- this to me, was appalling -- in this time of raging covid and breakthrough infections, with diminishing effectiveness of initial vaccines, I felt very uncomfortable seeing housekeeping staff cleaning rooms without a mask, or pushing a laundry cart through the interior corridor without a mask. One sneeze or cough while cleaning a room, handling sheets and towels, could spread this disease. I will say, that towards the end of our stay, most all of the staff were wearing masks indoors. However, one woman in particular still wore the mask around her neck and seemed resentful when I asked her to put it on. Apparently some of these housekeeping staff apparently have no idea of the seriousness of the covid situation or they just don't care. In any case, I would not stay at the Luxe again until there is some serious remedy for the mask situation. It is their responsibility to protect their guests and their staff, and I did not feel protected while we stayed at this hotel. If our own house was not being demoed, we would have left. As it was, we opted to stay in our room almost the entire month we were there.More

Our home is about a five minute walk from the Luxe, my husband and I have stayed here many times, a quick weekend getaway from the kids. This will be our last stay at the The Luxe, things have really gone downhill at this hotel....As you can see by the attached photos the room was not four star worthy. We requested a room with a balcony and a view, instead we were given a room with a view of yellow tape and a hedge (see photo). We also ordered room service twice, last night we ordered dinner and they forgot to bring up the two desserts we ordered and this morning they forgot the tea bags and half & half. The front desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful whatsoever, they were informed that the room was shabby and NOT the room we had requested and they did nothing to help the situation. We would not recommend staying at The Luxe.More

Last Thursday, my wife & I were headed South on the 405 when the traffic locked up solid. We took a quick exit and found that we were in front of the Luxe Hotel and the Sirocco Restaurant. What a nice find. Elegant service, beginning...with the hotel valet, and continuing through all of the restaurant staff. The surroundings in the outdoor dining area were very pleasant and refined, a wonderful change from our hectic driving schedule on the freeway. We both started with soups, a gazpacho for me, a creamed asparagus for her. Next came the Seared Salmon with kale and mashed potatoes, and a Grilled Turkey Sandwich and Salad. All items were nicely prepared and presented, and best of all,, tasted wonderful. We definitely will mark this establishment for a return visit.More

We had breakfast 3 mornings in the hotel. It is waiter service and the food was very good. The fresh fruit platter was very large and the fruit delicious. Service was good and the eggs cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a nice quiet ambience.

Good spot for a casual meal. We had mozzarellas caprese and a Cobb salad. Both well prepared and nicely presented.

What a place, where to begin from start to finish they could not do more for us. It was my wife’s birthday and they got a dozen red roses 🌹 in the room for when we got back from our lovely day out.

Have had more trips to Luxe lately and I really think it has a great LA feel and still a reasonable price. I like the restaurant a lot too. Rooms vary- spring for the ones near the pool- and a small balcony. Four posters are...especially romantic.More

I LOVE staying at the Luxe on Sunset Blvd. and consider this my LA home base because of the convenience of family members who live in the immediate area (location, Great Restaurant (Food and Beverage), comfortable and spacious accommodations (cleanliness), value (saving $$), Pool and...Gym (relaxation) put this altogether and you have a 5 star LA experience without the “hustle” and breaking the bank!! PS. Most important- it makes my wife HAPPY! I hope too return soon. Greg Del Mar, CAMore

The restaurant is small but inviting inside the Luxe Sunset Blvd Hotel. There is inside and outside tables. They have a full bar. Ate there twice for dinner and both meals were quite special. The salmon and the cauliflower potatoes were very nice. I'd have...them again. The wait staff was professional and accommodating.More

We stayed at the Luxe last week, and ate at the restaurant a couple of times for breakfast. An omelette is $16, but it was good (it came with potatoes and toast). The service was fair. The waiter forgot that we ordered muffins, so we...never got them -- but they charged us for them. They did take them off the bill when I brought it to his attention. I did have a little 'spill' of my coffee when we tried to push the table out, where the waiter didn't offer me another napkin or even another cup of coffee. (Perhaps he thought I'd spill it.) My son ordered an ice tea, but he brought an orange juice. We were going to do the Sunday brunch, but it was $55/person - so we decided to go someplace else. It did look very fancy and quite exquisite for brunch.More
