There is also a branch in Venice which is not as 'cozy' as this one is, but still good food and brew. Strongly suggest the brats with sauerkraut, and any of the fries/dips. I vary on beers, but the IPAs are nice, as are the imports. Just a nice place to hang out too, locals.

For $10 bucks you can get a sausage and a beer. You can get much fancier if you want. They have a wide area of sausages they make themselves along with a long list of German beers. You really can't go wrong here.

If you are willing to stay queued up for 20 minutes to taste their delicious hot dogs this is the place to go on a Friday night. The staff is very friendly and they manage the queues well. You can chill out with a beverage while you wait to place your order. Good luck finding a place inside to sit,... More

This is as close to a real German café as you're going to find in LA. HUGE variety of beer and good food make this a regular place of ours and it should be yours, too! (The way the TA template is set up, we can't show you how often we go here when we get in to LA- sorry!)

This is a great place to satisfy any sausage craving you may have. Or perhaps you want some kraut. They also have vegetarian and vegan options that are just as delicious as the meat sausages. They also have an extensive beer selection!

The ambiance is DEFINITELY awesome, it's cramped but it's super vibey. Be prepared to wait in line, but know that at the end of it is a rainbow of awesome hot dog options.

An unpretentious sausage is one of life's simple pleasures. Wurstkuche supplies your choice of sausages, including many made of things you never imagined were made into sausages. Basic German condiments, and a noisy dining hall filled with picnic tables accompany the experience. Parking in the area is not too easy, and not too hard. Not the cheapest sausages you can... More

The process was a bit chaotic, had to wait in a long line, wasn't sure what to order because they have a lot of exotic choices and you want to as k questions but because there were a bunch of people in line didn't want to hold it up. So ended up getting the same ol thing.

Great energy and crowd of people. Had a great time. Staff is super friendly. Will was very helpful at the bar and Sha was great at the door. We just had a few of their on tap selections which were excellent. Food was interesting and excellent.

I love both the Venice and DTLA locations, great selection of german and belgian beers on draft and some specialty bottles. Unique sausage combos which are all delicious (I actually think i've tried them all); my favorites are the austin blues and the duck & bacon.

Thank Becca D

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
