Strolling by looking for a bite to eat. The sandwiches are fantastic, a half is plenty. Great selection of gourmet items and wines. There was a line but it moved quick and well worth it!
Hands down, best sandwiches in L.A. - if not anywhere. You'll never look at these "wanna be" sandwich makers the same: SubYUCK (aka Subway - hmmm, is that where they get their meat from!? I've always wondered this. Lol!), Jersey Mike's (who is this 'guy' anyway!? Average. Nothing special here - at all), Quiznos (are they still even around!? If... More
Call in your order or you'll be waiting on a long line if it's lunch time. They make sandwiches "until we run out of bread" each day, but you're probably good up to mid afternoon. The ingredients are so fresh and of such good quality. Damn it, why am I not eating one right now?
I love the sandwiches and they have an excellent wine selection and the staff knows their wine. They are the best sandwiches in LA. Call ahead and order over the phone--the wait for walk ins can be long.
This unassuming little store is a treasure trove of less well known wine labels offering great quality at low prices. High end expensive wines also available but you can find really good tasting wines at almost any price. Other delicacies also available and great sandwiches at lunchtime, but I'm there for the wine!
You better get to the place by 11 AM or so start to line up Sandwiches are all made to order limited Menu my preference is Baquette with Turkey or Italian Ham . Half Sandwich with Mexican Coke is a way to go
The most knowledgable staff in the area. Very good selection of wines -- small by superstore standards, but well-curated. A little on the pricey side
This place has delicious sandwiches, and even better potato salad. I can't say enough about their melt in your mouth potato salad. It's inexpensive and the best I've had in LA. After walking through the sandwich line make your way past a very well stocked and very reasonably priced assortment of wine and spirits. Pick up some bitters and cherries... More
Awesome trout, dessert and port. Thumbs up! Very nice to go on an anniversary or romantic dinner; small restaurant very nice. A little bit pricey.
