Best Lebanese food in the San Fernando Valley located in an old neighborhood strip mall in Valley Village! To DIE for!

I'm not sure why we don't go here more often - - their food is so fresh and nicely prepared. Our last server, Adam, was extremely conscientious and kept us happy. Food selection is interesting. Nice indoor murals and lighting -- very comfortable and tasty.

Why is the meat often grilled and blackened and thus dried out in Middle Eastern Restaurants? The salads were tasty and the hummus was delicious. However, we don't enjoy meat that is mostly blackened; even the center of the lamb, beef, and chicken were dry and not very flavorful. Pita bread and service were very good, although there was a... Cedar House Cafe is a wonderful neighborhood mediterranean restaurant. The food is good and there is always plenty. It feels like visiting with a favorite Lebanese aunt who makes sure you are well taken care of. Sometimes when you visit the dining room looks empty- but don't let that fool you. It's a go-to spot for a hearty take out... More

... in LA. Our friends asked us to join them for a Lebanese meal. They'd been several times to this place and knew the food was good! We were not disappointed!! We shared appetizers of hummus, kibbeh nayeh [raw beef in this case], muhammara and Foul Imdamis [fava beans], but I was very impressed with the bread which was a... More

I love Cedar House Cafe's chicken shawarma. But I wasn't expecting a bill for $38 for 2 entrees and 1 small salad. It seems a lot to pay for Mediterranean comfort food.

We have enjoyed several meals at Cedar House over the past two years, and always return for a quiet, pleasant, tasty meal. Everything is freshly prepared to order: kebabs, falafel, hummus, babaganouj, chicken, lamb, kafta and much more. Despite the tempting menu, don't over-order because portions are generous. On our recent visit, the marinated chicken kebabs were wonderful, and the... More

I am torn between giving this restaurant a four star and a three star rating. We have been going to Cedar House for many years. Their food is consistent....it is fair. You will certainly not get a bad meal here. Their prices are fair for what you are served. Their menu is fairly extensive and they do offer specials. I... More

Located in a retail strip center you'll really enjoy you meal here!!! Wide choice of delicious appetizers...all excellent...with both thin crisp "bread" and "regular" style. The beef & chicken kabobs were tender and tasty as was the kafta. Bottom line here is that if you are "into" Mediterranean foods, this a definitely a place to go!! The price is right... More

I hate having to give a three star to a place whose food is excellent. However the service was So bad and so slow that it diminished the experience completely. It took almost 45 minutes to just get a glass of wine. The bread, hummus and salads arrived about an hour later and the main dishes shortly thereafter. The waitress not... More
