I was in L.A. for a conference and Border Grill was one of the only restaurants opened late near the Westin (everyone abandons American downtowns after 5:00 p.m.). I walked across the street and ordered the tortillas soup and Yucatan pork for takeaway. The food...More

Met some friends at Border Grill downtown for happy hour and taco Tuesday. On a balmy summer evening the outdoor patio with a DJ spinning tunes is a pleasant way to wrap up the work day...especially with tacos and margaritas. The street tacos are small...More

Reservations were easy to make on relatively short notice. Seating host remembered talking with me on the phone when we showed up. Outdoor seating was delightful, great ambiance. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Five of us shared a few apps, had cocktails (during Happy...More

Staying at the Westin across the street, restaurant in the hotel too crowded, mediocre food. Found this via internet total lifesaver. We will visit again if staying downtown LA.

The staff was very attentive to our needs, and listen carefully to our special requests. This restaurant isn't cheap, so be prepared to spend $30+ per person, especially if you will be having a adult beverage. However, I think it is better than spending $15...More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering
buildings, bustling streets, and industrial
warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of
cultures here with a growing influx of business
professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of
Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts,
bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly.
