We had the lunch buffet and everything was very tasty. We arrived juts after it opened so everything was fresh but by the time we were leaving stews were getting mushy, so do come early or at weekends when the buffet food has higher turnover. Also, there isn't much more on the menu to be tried after you've enjoyed the... More

This was my second trip to Little Ethiopia to try out the food. This time, I decided to try the Vegan lunch buffet (all you can eat, from 11am - 3pm). I've got to say, that I was disappointed. I tried a little of each dish that was offered... they were all the consistency of mush... different flavors, but mushy... More

An Ethiopian buffet?? Yes. That's it. And all vegan - no meat. The flavors are decent, some of the items are oily but expected. Nice staff. The spicy lentil stew had more cardamom than my taste. The collard green was replaced by kale but I thought that was interesting! They also have rice and buckwheat - nice touch. Their whole... More

There are many restaurants to choose from in Little Ethiopia, Los Angeles, but Rahel remains my favorite. The fact that it is vegan is amazing considering the richness of the flavors.

This is probably the tastiest food I've ever had. I used to live close enough to treat myself anytime I wanted. Since moving away, it's been a nightmare to try to find excellent Ethiopian food. I appreciate Rahel's so much more now. I'll probably be moving back to LA soon and can't wait to go back to Rahel's. I used... More

Had lunch here today with the wife and in laws. Some of them are vegans and vegetarians. No problems here for them. As a Meat Eater this place works for me too! The flavors are outstanding! The only downside is that the service is on the slow side. This is one of my wife's favorite places to eat in West... More

This restaurant is located in the middle of "Little Ethiopia" and was a pleasant surprise. Their lunch buffet is very tasty and doesn't give the impression of mass production. The restaurant is so unique that they even sell t-shirts to promote the cause.

Great place, really solid food and extremely nice owners. If you like vegetarian food and not sure what you want to try go with their buffet option.

I specifically came here to try Ethiopian food for the first time, I do find eating with my hands difficult but guess that's part of the experience as is eating the plate (made of bread) the food was served on - they have attentive staff, exotic flavours and a varied menu - it's in a road full of Ethiopian restaurants...
