Was in recently with my daughter for dinner. The service is fantastic, and so is the food. The ambiance of the room is very relaxing. I thought it was a very nice touch that the owner speaks to everyone.Make sure you have a reservation.

One of the best few italian restaurants in LA. They have the most delicious vongole and lobster spaghetti. The uni/sea urchin pasta is debatable, some people preferred the one in portofino, some liked it here. Its preference. But its still really good too! Grilled scampi was amazing and their napoleon dessert shouldnt be missed! I eat here at least once... More

Been twice with my wife. Sat at the Bar both times. Ambiance is pure class. Bartender who served us personable and attentive. Remembered us from the first time. The Italian owner was carving veal and gratuitously gave me a helping even after I'd finished my entee - and it was great! better than dessert! (His English was poor, which added... More

Many go to Madeo for celebrity watching and yes they will not be disappointed. Every time I have had dinner there I could spot several famous faces sitting in the banquettes. However the food is really why one should come to Madeo. Having know the original Madeo restaurant in Forte dei Marmi i knew the cuisine would be Tuscan and... More

Just amazing, the food is so good, beautiful people, just a good place to be seen. The only black thing, too much noise and tables... Love this restaurant.

We lived in L.A. for almost 30 years and in that time have eaten at nearly every Italian restaurant in town. Years ago, while eating at a different Italian restaurant, I asked the owner (since he didn't feature Pizza) "Where's the best Pizza in town?" "Madeo" he replied. Thinking this was only a Pizza joint, I was shocked to find... More

After a disappointing meal at a different LA establishment last evening, we had high hopes for Madeo. Loving Italian food and having an amazing Italian restaurant back home (La Sirena - West Palm Beach, FL) the bar was set extremely high and Madeo did not disappoint. Tucked away between some shops on Beverly is a little bit of heaven directly... More

Don't let the paparazzi in front of the restaurant fool you. The food at this restaurant is amazing, on the same level as some of the best restaurants in Italy. The decoration is simple but somehow the ambiance is nice and vibrant. The owner usually comes to the tables and says hello. Definitely my favorite Italian in town. Some people... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
