I came here with my partner and another couple. What stood out most to us was the upbeat and positive atmosphere; everyone both eating and working here was happy to be there! Very inviting! Food was well priced (make your own omelette with up to 7 ingredients, toast and orange slices) for $9! The sugar-free vanilla chai latte with almond... More

Coming from Portland, my coffee standards are pretty high. Good coffee is difficult to find in Los Angeles, so when a co-worker told me about this place I was skeptical. Nestled half a block from the pier on Venice Beach, this great little place has the best coffee I have had in Los Angeles. They'll do a high quality pour-over... More

This is a great place for cafe drinks/snacks. The menu is extensive with plenty of focus on healthy foods. It's packed with locals which is always a good sign. Our 5 milkshakes took over 10minutes to arrive - which is too long. We sat upstairs where there was plenty of room for our group of 8.

Love love love this place. Every Monday and Thursday it's sing along for kids upstairs. So grab your toddler, buy a cup of delicious coffee (and breakfast if your little one didn't allow you to eat at home;) and join the group of local moms and dads in the room on the second floor.

Love to walk over in the morning. Watch the surfers from the pier and enjoy their selections of coffee. This is quite the neighborhood place in the early am. Many people know each other.

Quirky place for breakfast. Good acai bowls and egg dishes. Good coffee. Baked goods looked tempting. Interesting atmosphere inside.

My boyfriend lives down the street from the Cow's End and in my 5 day stay with him we stopped in multiple times. First and foremost, skip the Starbucks down the street and get your coffee/espresso drinks from here! I got a triple shot of espresso (just plain) and it was LOVELY. Therefore I feel confident any espresso drink it... More

This place is great. While visiting the area, we stopped by the cafe each morning for a delicious breakfast and latte. All the menu items we had were great but you need to get there early b/c they do run out of the fresh baked goods. The vibe was fun and we felt very welcome.

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
