The pastrami was delicious as was the cheese blintz! Our server, Frank was wonderful. We will definitely return on our next visit to Los Angeles.

Without a doubt, this place serves the most exceptional pastrami I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. The pastrami and brisket simply melt in your mouth, delivering an unforgettable experience. In fact, I must declare that this is, without a doubt, the finest deli...I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.More

What could I possibly add to a review that people haven't already said? The place is great, and their 76 years of business proves just that. From the ambiance, the service, and the history, to the quality of the food, everything was absolutely stellar and...this could very well be the best Jewish delicatessen in the country. Their #19 pastrami on rye is a must-order. The bread, the meat, the coleslaw and the Russian dressing just work and it's an absolutely banger of a sandwich. The rye bread is fluffy and holds things together nicely. It's the best rye bread I've ever had, by a mile. But don't sleep on their matzo ball soup, which is also divine - and don't let the clear broth fool you - it's packed with chicken-y flavor. I know that McArthur Park isn't the best area but it's fine. Just park in the lot a block away, and you'll get parking for 90 minutes upon validation. It's way safer than it looks, but just be aware of your surroundings. I will be dreaming about that #19 sandwich until next time I'm in town. A+More

I also had the #19 and a coffee. My brother and I weren’t really hungry. We wanted a salad but since they were closed for 2 days, they didn’t have that ready. Which was fine. Anyway since we just ordered beverages and a sandwich, they...separated the sandwiches for us. I thought that was a nice touch that we didn’t have to ask. I’ve had pastrami sandwiches a few times in my life but this one is the best I’ve ever had in my life. The reason is the rye bread. It had a crunch crust and it was so soft in the middle but it didn’t get soggy. I ate my sandwich slowly too. The coleslaw with the Swiss cheese was a good balance. Also the meat was moist and I thought the entire sandwich went together really well.More

Having watched Phil Rosenthal go to Langer’s on his tv show, I thought I’d give it a try when visiting my daughter in LA. I had the “number 19” with pastrami, coleslaw and Swiss cheese on rye. I’ve been to many famous delis back east...in my life including Katz’s Deli, but this was the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had in my life! It was unbelievably good! If you like deli food, you need to go to this restaurant when you’re in LA!More

Went out of my way to visit and was not disappointed. Pastrami sandwich was exceptionally good... plentiful but not so much that I couldn't finish it. It's pleasantly old school. The vast menu was a bit intimidating, and I'd like to return and try some...other items. Pricing is high, but not really when you consider the quality.More

Read about Langer's in the L.A. Times and had to give it a try. Met up with a friend who lives in L.A. and been here before. Classic Jewish diner/deli. Not too many pescatarian or vegetarian options for my husband. Efficient and professional service. Came...for a late lunch and we were able to get validated parking in their lot.More

Service is excellent. They make the best matzo ball soup. The Reuben sandwich is to die for. I love visiting whenever I am out in LA. Price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of servings.

Loved the whole experience. The service was extremely helpful and friendly. Started with the creamed herring. The plate was filled with pickles, radishes, olives, and of course the creamed hearing. It also comes with rye bread, but since I was going to follow up with...a pastrami sandwich I opted out of the extra. The pastrami was the crown jewel however. The rye bread was fresh and soft with the contrasting crunch of the crust. The pastrami was the Jewish equivalent to Texas BBQ, just the right amount of fat with a great bark. A Los Angeles institution that you just have to try.More

The #1 Pastrami sandwich was $23.50. It was ok. A tiny cup of chicken soup with one matzo ball was $6.00 each. The soup was very diluted and not tasty. Iced tea was $4.50. The bill before tax was $40. See the picture for half...of the $23.50 sandwich looks like. Not worth it at all.More
